Weird formation inside my tank, look!

Anyone know what this is? It branches off of my SS wick and "clings" onto my glass tank. Weird!

Pinworm? Really small tentacle alien? Not a clue...hard to see from the picture. I would guess that it's a crystalline structure from stuff in the juice being ionized.

Maybe THAT's what's cracking tanks, not the juice - but rather the little noid that crawls out of the juice and starts banging on the tank with it's tiny chisel.
