Hi, I'm a 22 yo male, 5'11 140pds not a long time smoker and been vaping for less then 2 months. I also work out, I usually run 2-4 miles 3 times a week. Also saw the doctor about a month ago and he said I seemed healthy besides the light smoking.

Okay, so I have been on and off adderall(meaning I do not drink coffee) and smoking cigarettes(weekend nights & maybe 3-6 a day) for almost a year. Late February I started vaping. Not too heavy but somewhat. I started with 1.8% 50/50 halo juice, then 2.4% high vg Durasmoke that i mixed down after realizing it was too much. This worked great.

The middle of March I got some new gear and ordered juices from 70vg/30pg Mt Baker Vapor both 1.2%. I started vaping pretty heavily cuz I was pumped on my new stuff. I have only noticed the weird feeling after using the baker vapor juice. I also just received some .6% 50/50 but the weird feeling is the same now with all of the juices.

The past week & a half I have noticed a sharp pain around my heart, sometimes like right now, its a little icy and tingling feeling. Sometimes it goes away completely for hours and comes back for no reason. When I do take a puff It can do absolutely nothing but more often than not it brings back this icy pain. At nights when I'm trying to sleep I feel like my blood pressure is very high and feel my heart beat weirdly, hours after taking my last puff.

Sunday was the worst and I almost went to the hospital but Monday and Tuesday I have slowly felt better with less vaping of course.

I have obviously considered going to the doctor and the hospital but now It feels like its going away. It just seems weird to me that after switching from smoking and being really unhealthy to vaping, vaping heavy nic juices while working out and now switching to lower nic juices that all of a sudden this develops. The vaping doesn't help and I have been slowing down but other times I won't at all and it still comes back.

Has anyone else had some kind of experience like this? I don't wanna blame it on the Baker Vapor juice cuz that seems silly but maybe it is the nicotine? I don't know cuz I use to take in a lot more so why would I all of sudden be ODing on Nicotine if i'm switching to lower levels and taking in less? Can a nicotine overdose effect you for a while?

If it continues I will no doubt see a doctor but the worst seems to be over. Should I quit vaping all together? bye bye $150+

Thanks

First most - pain and palpitations in your heart do warrant a trip to the Dr. These can be signs of a heart attack or other major heart condition and may be in no way related to vaping.

What is your new equipment? Is it an RDA (or an RBA)? If so you can get to much nic even from 6mg. Even if this is the case - a Dr visit is still a very good idea with symptoms such as yours.

I've been vapeing just short of two years and have been here at ECF a good part of that time and have never heard of symptoms like you're having. There have been lots of questions about a variety of symptoms. Most new vapers attribute anything new that happens to them to vaping. Understandable but they're usually not vaping-related. What I mean is sometimes they are getting rid of toxins from smoking, etc, but seldom from vaping unless there are dehydration issues while learning, etc. Your symptoms require medical attention. You may have a pre-existing condition that's showing up even due to anxiety/fear or allergy, etc. Not being a doctor, I don't know. I just know I've never heard of this and glance at my join date and post count. My advice?... see a doctor... and wishes?... the best to you.

Edit: Good grief our members are fast! There were no posts when I started typing... ugh... maybe I'm just slow.

I posted on a similair thing the other night. After vaping for a little bit i had intense heartburn. To the point where I almost went to the hospital. But unfortunatly no one responded. I have no idea what to do.

Heartburn, hiccups, headache, nausea can be from vaping too much.....your heart is different.

The past week & a half I have noticed a sharp pain around my heart, sometimes like right now, its a little icy and tingling feeling.

These are not normal or minor symptoms like heartburn.

IMHO, if you are concerned enough about what is going on with your body to come here and ask about it, then it is something concerning enough to see you doctor or even go to an Urgent Care facility to be checked out. As we all know, when our hearts give out, so do our lives. I definitely would be on my way to a medical facility of some sort.

I'm sorry no one answered you. I didn't see your thread. Anyway, some people do get heartburn from either smoking or vaping. Nicotine is a stimulant just like caffeine. Even our own bodies produce stimulants.... ie: adrenalin released when upset. Some people, like myself, get acid drip from all of these stimulants. Some get palpitations. Some get headaches. Some get stomach acid drip. Some get all of these. I have to take prilosec every day as I inherited the stimulant sensitivity genetically and it caused chronic gastritis. So, long story short, you might be one who is sensitive to them. Lower your nic intake is my only advice whether vaping or smoking and don't drink caffeine especially when vaping or smoking. If it continues... of course, see your doctor.

Be smart, those are common early signs, warnings for possible heart attack,so please check in hospital, don't play with things like that.

Wish you all the best and hope it's just nothing, but do go visit doctors.

Woody

About the adderall. Are you on or off? You know that is an amphetamine right? If it were me, that would be the first to go!

Having had 2 heart attacks related to smoking not vaping I would go to the Dr. I had both heart attacks ongoing for several days before I finally gave in, only to find I was minutes from a massive heart attack. Don't play with your heart go to the Doctor if you suspect something is amiss. every hour that goes by damages your heart and most times its irreparable damage. In order to recover good from a heart attack its imperative that you seek help immediately upon noticing the symptoms. I'm now on meds for the rest of my life because I was ignorant to the facts. DONT WAIT you may only be minutes from waiting to long.

I wish you the very best

I had an uncle who more than 50 years ago lifted weights at home. He didn't take additional meds to build his muscles and he had a massive heart attack because he overdid it. It didn't kill him, he died of natural causes decades later.

Your body is trying to tell you something and when it comes to major organs such as the heart, you need to listen. Don't be scared to see the doctor, heart problems may appear suddenly and with what you're describing, it sounds like you may be straining your body too much. Dr. Constantinos Farsalinos did a study on ecig vapor on heart/vascular tissue and I recommend you read it to set your mind at ease. Pretty sure it's not the vaping nor even the low frequency smoking, but nevertheless a visit to the doctor is what is called for.

You may want to consider purchasing a blood pressure pump, there are some you use on your wrist and they cost about $50. Taking your blood pressure when you're worried it may be high will ease your mind too.

Obviously, I agree with others that you should see a doctor. That being said the one difference I noticed is you're going higher and higher in your VG. VG has been known to cause lung heaviness. Is this happening when you're breathing or is it steady? While you are waiting to see the doctor can you try some higher pg again?

You already say the problem seems to be connected with a particular vendor substance; stop using it.
And get to the doctors and do an allergy test.
If MtBaker publishes their ingredeints check the ingredients; you might be allergic to some particular thing; maybe even the alcoholic type stuff they use in the flavor process or the sucralose or other sweetener.
