6mg nicotine making me cough?

This is really weird.

I can vape 12mg all day long, has a nice throat hit and it doesn't tickle my throat at all.

Wanted to step down nicotine and ordered some 6mg juice from MBV (80VG/20PG) and bought some from a local shop(50/50).

All of the 6mg juice seems to have a little throat tickle and makes me feel like coughing on the exhale.

Anyone else experience this?

As far as i know the lower the nic the warmer the vape. got any higher ohm coils?

It's in a kayfun lite + right now with a 1.1ohm coil on a nemesis. I get the same effect using a 2.5ohm protank head on my vamo.

The higher pg is causing the throat hit and nit the nic. That normal if your used to 80% vg juices. You could also be slightly allergic to pg as well.

Well I have some 80VG/20PG hawk sauce and that is 12mg and hits pretty damn hard.

The MBV flavor is banana cream pie, and the B&M flavor is coconut.

also its 80%VG, not PG

I have some Moo Juice 6mg that I can try, it might be something in these flavorings.

I would think it may be the high PG ... I have even noticed a big jump in harshness from 50 to 60 PG

Doge maybe, although rare, your sensitive to VG?

Maybe it has nothing to do with vaping... Maybe the cooler weather change has irritated your throat or some other factor.
Get some throat spray and see if that helps.

Could it be the higher VG? I ordered 6mgs juice 100% VG (Totally organic) from Velvet Cloud Vapors, and had the worst dry "hit" from it. I ordered several flavors all with the same mixture, and now Im concerned with trying them! it seems strange that going down in nic would cause a tickle or a cough?! The reason I tried the higher VG was because I thought I was sensitive to the PG...Ive since learned that the my safest bet is 50/50...good luck!

The higher the vg, more chance of wicking and dry hits.

better to use a bottom coil for 50vg+

high vg is fine in a mech atty as long as it is cleaned. It might be clogged if you take it apart and have a look.

Yup, it has more to do with the flavor itself than the reduced nicotine or pg/vg. You would have to do a direct comparison of the same flavor in both 6mg and 12mg strengths to really feel the difference. There is most probably a specific flavoring in the Banana Cream & Coconut that is not agreeing with you. I suggest getting a bottle of 6mg Hawk Sauce at 80vg/20pg and doing an apples to apples comparison.
