Weird smells....or absence of

Okay, so this is my first 12hrs and I have had zero cravings and was walking around my house wondering what this weird smell was.....well apparently it wasn't a smell at all, it was the absence of the smoke smell.
I know it's really soon but I used to be able to smell the analogs oozing out of my pores especially the palms of my hands, when I woke up....well I sniffed and sniffed and I couldn't find it.
I'm still afraid to get to excited so I called my baby brother who smokes and told him to try them. He's gonna pick some up on his lunch break. Since we have the same genetic makeup we can compare.
But I have to say this is the best ever!!!!!!!!

Wait until your taste buds come back. I've been smoke free for 23 days now. Yesterday I sat down for lunch- the same lunch I have been eating every Sunday for years. And everything tasted completely different- it was like all the good flavors in the food suddenly got a boost. Took me a few minutes to realize that the change had to have been my taste buds coming back from their 30 years of nicotine coating LOL.

between here and there
I know it was a real revelation to me. I spent the first month cleaning everything I owned to get the smell out. As a smoker I didn't realize how stinky the analogs were and how truly discusting they are. Funny, a year ago I would have defended them to no end. So glad I found ecigs and ecf.

I am on day 3 of no cigs. I just went to the grocery store yesterday. I did not know grocery had so many wonderful smells. It was overload. From the bakery, coffees and flowers. I started washing yesterday our clothes. I got sweet tooth that will not stop. Food is coming back. There are some smells I wish I was still smoking. My friend refrig he must have something die in there. I told him he needs to clean it out so I can get my pepsi. Then I took my trash out it was awrful. I not been in my car since Sat. I know that going to be a good smell.

I haven't started vaping yet and hope it helps me quit...After thinking about it though,I am in customers homes about 15 times a week and probably reek of cigarettes..I'm sure this is a huge turn off for people that don't smoke...can't wait to be smoke free...><>...BUZZ

Door to door salesman came to my door Saturday. And he reeked of smoke.
Walking thru the grocery store yesterday with my wife, and passed someone reeking of smoke. Wife says to me after that person passed and says "did you smell that". I always said the worst non-smokers were ex-smokers. Now that I can smell clearly, I pick up on every smoker that gets anywhere near me. Now that we vape, we smell like candy LOL

I love it when someone makes a comment about smelling what I've just vaped. I had a coworker come into our office the other day and she asked if we were eating chocolate cake. I held up my little bottle of DIY Chocolate Eclair and proudly said "You're smelling my vape!" I bet she had chocolate cravings after that. It's much better than the nasty "you smell like an ashtray" comments I used to get.

Last week I was at the Grammy Awards Museum in Los Angeles and the lady who worked there asked me what perfume I was wearing because it smelled really good. I told her I wasn't wearing any perfume or lotion. I told her I had been vaping Chocolate doughnut earlier and she looked at me with a really confused look. I had to explain the whole e-cig thing to her. So it is nice to smell sweet instead of reeking like an ashtray. :)

Boy do smokers reek!

It's so true, we ex-smokers with reset nostrils are the worst. Regaining my sense of smell has been a huge blessing, and a little bit of a curse too. I've always had a good sense of smell, but my goodness....now my nose reels it all in like nobody's business! I feel like a beagle hound...lol.

smelling and tasting again--it's been a blessing for me EXCEPT recently i've been having drainage/sewage problems at my house--oh my g. the bad smells are also much much more intense...sometimes walking downtown i feel i am in an alternate universe (unfortunately not a pleasant one) but when i get back to somewhere with trees--the plum trees have been blooming here.. and plants and achoooo whoa anyway breathing is a great pleasure isn't it...

Not a rabid anti, and vow to never become one ... seems just too hypocritical. But, I can certainly tell when someone near me has smoked recently. My right hand at work is still smoking. She can't keep it a secret any longer that she's just snuck in from a quick smoke. It's good to have our senses return, for sure. But, I won't be a raving ex-smoker.
