Weird spicy / peppery taste is some e-juices?

I ordered a bunch of samples from FSUSA (freedomsmokesUSA) and I'm finding that a lot of the flavors have a strange spicy / peppery taste to them. For example the RY4 almost has a Jalapeno taste on exhale, and the other tobacco flavors I've tried from there (Max/Bro, New/Port, Wyatt Earp, American Spirit) all have this spicy / peppery taste which I REALLY dislike. I can even taste it on the espresso flavor. If it doesn't taste spicy then I find it taste like perfume. Maybe FSUSA isn't or me, which is too bad because their customer service is wonderful. My only thought is they add something "spicy" to these flavors to add "kick" or throat hit?

I understand that some flavors need to sit for a while, but I have yet to find an all-day vape and I really need something I can vape right away that doesn't taste like pepper or perfume.

My favorite flavor so far has been the tobacco flavor that came with my first e-cig, the SafeCig, but unfortunately they don't sell liquid, only prefilled cartos which are too pricey and wont fit my eGo. If I could find this flavor in an e-liquid it would be my all day vape.

The tobacco flavor from LiquidXpress is, right now, my all-day vape. It doesn't have that peppery taste but it's a bit sweet to be a true tobacco / analog taste. Still, it's not bad and it's the only flavor I have that helps when I'm craving an analog. I've tried other flavors from LiquidXpress but only in prefilled cartos. The Carnilla Cap and Cool Rush are the only ones I could see ordering again in juice form.

Before I venture off and start ordering samples and flavors from other sites I need to make sure that these places don't have this "spiciness" to their flavors. Unfortunatly after ordering samples twice from FSUSA I don't think I'll be ordering from there again.

What I need; A tobacco flavor that is not too sweet, not spicy and can be vaped right out of the mail. Something like the tobacco flavor from SafeCig.

Does anyone else taste these spicy / peppery taste in e-juices?

on some of the juices i have gotten. i believe the spicy/peppery taste is the nicotine in them. what mg nicotine are you using??

You could be tasting the nicotine somewhat, I've tried vaping unflavored nic juice (Mikey liked it!)
and found it has a slight spicy, black pepper flavor.

The FSUSA all were 24mg, the LiquidXpress were 18mg. The only reason I don't think it's the nicotine is because not all of the FSUSA flavors like vanilla, thin mint, Gram Cracker... most none tobacco flavors don't have that spiciness to them, and they were all 24mg too.

I am going to suggest getting some Dekang DK-TAB and maybe also try the RY4 as well.
These are my two favorites, and my criterion is the same as yours.

I'm not sure how many places you can buy samples of Dekang juice.
But I get mine at Valley Vapor.

Definitely check out Valley Vapor.

They sell 10ml bottles of Dekang for only $4.75 and shipping is only like $1.40 too.
I just ordered some more DK-TAB, RY4 and 555 this afternoon.

And yeah, you might consider trying the 555 too, although I haven't tried Dekang 555 yet.
But I know I used to love 555 when I could find the right blend, and I seriously doubt this is going to be sweet.

Yep! I just got my first order from Fsusa. I ordered a big bottle of ry4, just knowing I would love it. It was not at all what I was expecting. It was weirdly spicy. I tried it again today, and its a little better. I'm thinking they need to "steep".. At least I'm hoping!

By the way, I was reading the thread you posted and it's funny because I thought the Wyatt Earp tasted like Soapy / perfume with a Jalapeno after taste, it's good to see I'm not the only one lol.

I vaped a little bit of unflavored 36mg pg once and noticed a slight pepper flavor. I think it was from the nic. However it was very slight and once I mixed it with other flavors, I didn't notice it much. I don't taste it in any of the juices I'm vaping at the moment. FSUSA may add something--hopefully someone who knows will kick in with some good info. As far as a RY4 goes, I like Taboo from Liquidxpress the best of any I've tried so far. I also like the RY4 from Mad Vapes. You might want to try some MLB if you can find it in a small size. It's what ships in a lot of prefilled. I'm not sure about Safe Cig, but it could be. As for the perfumey flavors, sometimes steeping will take that away, sometimes not. lol. EDIT: I type way to slow. lol.

I think I remember hearing that MadVapes also sells Dekang juices.
So maybe that is Dekang RY4 as well.

I personally don't find it to be spicy, and was surprised when I read that in the description.
Let me try it again real quick though and try to focus on whether there is anything "spicy" about it.

Me! Me! (Although, I'm completely hooked on Backwood Brews) - My favorite Dekang juice was Kamel- it's very peppery. I would totally understand if you didn't like pepper, though, it's not for everyone. nHaler's 555 is very analog like - you might want to give them a shot, or, you could try some BwB Maxboro - I've heard a lot about this juice but, haven't tried it - I have since moved on to non-tobacco tastes ...

Okay, don't know if this will help or not.

To me, it doesn't taste spicy, at least certainly nothing like the FSUSA juices do.
Nor like the Halo juices, which all taste like they added ginger flavor.

It tastes to me like a full-bodied, deep, rich tobacco taste.
Not thin and light like some of the pure tobacco essence types of juices.

I just don't find it to be "spicy" in any way though.

Yep! I just got my first order from Fsusa. I ordered a big bottle of ry4, just knowing I would love it. It was not at all what I was expecting. It was weirdly spicy. I tried it again today, and its a little better. I'm thinking they need to "steep".. At least I'm hoping!

I did the same thing. I ordered 120mg of Ry4 from them without sampling it first. I suspected that it needed to steep for a while. I got "hot sauce" in the flavor, but not jalapenos. I took the cap off of the big bottle and put it in a dark place safe from "kitty" overnight. The next day, I tried it again, but still too much hot sauce. I poured some of it into a 10ml empty bottle and capped both. I shook the heck out of both bottles. It took a couple of days for the little bottle to steep until it wasn't spicy anymore. When I emptied the next portion into the bottle a week later, it was an "entirely different animal". It became an all day vape for me. And it just got smoother and mellower as time went on.
