I've been vaping for just over a month now.
A couple of days back I started tasting something weird. I was vaping Hilbury Watermelon from Vapor Jedi. The clearomizer I was using is two weeks old and was cleaned 48 hours earlier earlier with flowing tap water and left to dry.
The taste is so weird, it is hard to describe. It isn't a burnt taste or anything that awful. It hits on the exhale and dominates the original flavor.
I pulled out another new clearomizer and poured the juice into it. The taste was still there so now am thinking the juice must be bad. I cleaned both clearomizers and left them to dry.
I just received some 50/50 freckled Lemonade from mt baker vapor. I filled up one of the clearomizers (the new one after it was cleaned) and the taste is still there.
So changing the clearomizer didn't help and Switching flavors didn't either.
Does anybody have any idea what's going on here ??
thanks in advance.

i notice my taste buds change over time, juices i think are the bomb one day can eventually become intolerable. i also think sometimes with new flavors, we taste something we like and we focus on that flavor, and over time as it loses its 'newness', we start to taste other things in that same flavor, sometimes we like that less =P i just ride the wave, man, keep moving and trying new things. try other juice companies too, i love MBV but i find them very inconsistent, i buy thier flavorings instead and mix em myself.

also, my coils seem to be good for a few days/a week and then if they are still hitting acceptably by that point, they will eventually develop an off flavor. typically its a mild burnt undertone tho, keep fresh coils and learn to rebuild if you are interested in that.

I sill don't understand how and when to dry burn the coils.

I will help you with that next - promise. Can you sample any other MBV flavor and tell me if you get the same off taste in the exhale?

My theory is, like a small group of the world (me included) can taste an ingredient in the flavoring company that I KNOW MBV uses and is very probable to be an ingredient in the flavor you taste the same off-ness in from jedi. The other likely option is you dont like lemon vapes (bananas taste like garbage to me on the exhale - no idea why and I LOVE bananas but cant vape them sadly.)

Because you went to a new clearo and tasted the same off taste we have ruled out an old coil, burned insulator etc etc
