Weird taste.

Okay so I bought a protank 2 yesterday. But even before that I was getting a weird taste from my juice. Could my pen be causing that or could the liquid just be bad? Everyone else that tries it says it tastes fine. But I think it tastes off almost burnt. I've replaced could twice and even put a protank coil in my evod tank and it still tastes off. I bought two extra coils yesterday along with the new tank. I'm vaping around 3.5 on a 1.8 ohm coil head. And I'm sill getting a tiny burnt taste.

but a few things to consider - take long and slow draws to keep the wicks from pulling to much or causing dry hits.

and when using a new coil head - make sure they are saturated with juice - it may be slight dry hits your tasting if the coils didnt get enough juice to them after being swapped in.

What VG ratio is in your ejuice? If it's too thick it will have a problem wicking.

My sister had this problem with her pen. I took it apart and cleaned it out with hot water and let it dry. I then changed it to a clear juice instead of the darker coffee flavored juice she had and it was fine. I think the juice she was using was gunking up the coil and burning. Not sure but it may be a similar problem.

Edit: The juice was quite thick and dark so it also may have been semi dry hitting.

When I replace a coil I break it down to were I can see my flavor wicks and coil. I put 1 drop on the flavor wicks and put it all back together and let my Silver Bullet stand upright for about 5 min. Never had a dry hit since. Also when drawing from your mod take long slow hits. This keeps the juice flowing in a regualr fashion. And what I do is half way through my last puff I take my finger off the fire button and vape 1-2 seconds to get the juice back on my wicks.

It's mainly pg. I mixed two different juices. One menthol and one strawberry lemonade. The strawberry was 70/30 and the menthol looked to be mainly pg. it was very thin.

it might be the menthol - when i dilute methol too much PERSONALY it produces this wierd chemical taste with no coldness.

and most "menthol flavor only" juices i have tried taste awful due to menthol quality and ratio

I mean It was kinda worse before I put the menthol in. The menthol kinda masked it. I switched to a 12mg juice for a day but it started tasting weird and made me feel funny, then I went back to the strawberry one which is a 16 mg. but before I switched the strawberry one tasted amazing. Switching back I can't taste the strawberry and it just tastes funky. Then I put menthol in it and I can taste the menthol and a little hint of strawberry. So I'm just all confused here.

The 12 mg one I switched to was classifieds crisp flavor. I don't know if anyone has ever tried it. Again everyone that tastes m strawberry lemonade says it tastes fine. I'm thinking it might be because they all have 16-18 mg juices. And I switched to a lower mg for a day or two. Then went back to the 16 mg juice and I might just be tasting the nicotine. Do you think that is possible?

If you don't clean your tank/atty or whatever holds the juice. You will get hints of any of the juices you have used in it. It mixes and sometimes you find a great vape from mixing. I mix 50/50 Lions Mane and Sweet Rainforest and it's awsome tasting.

My tank is brand new just bought it yesterday I purposely mixed the two. So who knows. I mean I'm feeling fine I don't feel sick so it must not be bad for me. It's been like this since yesterday.

Taste is subjective. I could love 1 flavor and you try it and it tastes horrible. It's the nature of the beast. You just need to try and get your top 5 flavors you love and buy them accordingly. I advise buying a very low ml bottle, so if you dont like it you didnt waste alot of money for something you can't stand. After you have your top 5 go threw the proccess again so you have a definate variety of juices you are satisfied with.
