I will not partake in a conversation where someone suggests that I am a hater and says that my sad reaction was about hate just for having an opinion instead of... wait for it... being sad about that particular comment and making one of my own.

@TARTARA never said or "suggested" you were a "hater".

He asked you three very reasonable questions. Instead of answering you took it to another level. One you did not need to take it to.

Chill Out!!!

His words not mine. And thank you I am actually quite chilled. I would hope that we all were here :bluewink:

Okay, folks! Calm it down before a mod gets involved and shuts it all down. That's not fair to the OP.

@Merciful, it is customary to use restraint with the negative emoticons. We're not saying that they can't be used, but it must evoke a strong emotion in you. It is then also customary to provide a post explaining your position. It's just how we have done things here on ECF. Healthy disagreement and debate are Okay, but this is one of the few civil sites on the internet.

So is the OP. He/she only posted on 25 January and hasn't logged in since.

That's ok though... we can talk about...... alligator and crocodile teeth!!!

An alligator has 80+ teeth. Gators put far more nasty things in their mouths than humans do and gators never use Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste or an Oral-B toothbrush. Over a lifetime they lose many teeth on prey and ummm, "other". Each tooth can be replaced up to 50 times during its life. That's potentially thousands of new teeth. Crocodile teeth also grow grow back.

Doubt the gators in Florida cruise around Alligator Alley (I-75) complaining to each other about their teeth feeling weird.

Someday in the distant future people will regrow teeth like gators. And yes, scientists are working on human tooth regeneration (not kidding, look it up ).

I could use that. I have to have a tooth pulled (was supposed to be today, but the weather isn't cooperating), and it was going to be thousands of dollars for an implant. It's a backmost molar, so I'm opting to just have it pulled.

Right? I think at some point in life we all could use that. And it sure would put the hurt on the crazy dental industry. The average price of single tooth replacement is around $4,250.

Yeah, I’m going in next week for a consult. 5 teeth are having to be extracted; 3 wisdom (one impacted), #17 and 18 (both had root canals and crowns, now have cracks in the roots causing chronic infections).

    :(

    Then, come the implants.

    :D

I had my wisdom teeth pulled in my late teens. They were causing problems for neighboring teeth. Our dentist did an upper and lower on one side. Waited like a month or so then did the other two.

I had a backmost upper molar pulled about 5-6 years ago. It felt strange not being there for a little while but I adjusted quickly. If it was a front tooth I would have gotten an implant.

Yeah. The 2 lower back molars are right next to each other. Not sure if a partial is going to cut it (or even feasible).

Same here. It's a back tooth, so I doubt I'll miss it much. A front tooth would have gotten an implant.
