I just went to refill my coffee cup and right when I turned around I was hit with a very VERY strong desire to go outside and smoke a cig. Stress is usually my trigger for wanting a cig but I have no stress or anything on my head right now. It followed me back to my desk and I have a tank filled with 18mg and threw it on my MVP and cranked it up hoping maybe that would help, but it's still with me a bit. Haven't had a craving this strong since I started vaping on an ego/clearo rather than my cigalike a few weeks ago. It's odd...I want a cigarette even though I know I would hate the taste/smell even worse now than when I first got into vaping (broke down after 4 days and bought a pack and the taste/smell was a bit nastier than I thought it was before I tried vaping lol).

Not weird at all, Roselie! Part of it is your body adjusting to the new nicotine delivery system. Depending on how long you smoked, your body is used to a certain level and frequency of nicotine absorption, and your brain has its own "muscle memory" (this is my own theory) that translates to certain habits and rituals. Though during more than a year of smoke-free vaping I have not craved tobacco cigarettes, I still, occasionally, reach for the pack I used to keep beside me. When leaving a room, sometimes I still automatically check to see if I've left a cigarette burning in the ashtray. And recently, every once in a while I smell "phantom" cigarette smoke where none exists.

I think at times something in our unconscious triggers these "flashbacks." When I start to think about cigarettes, I reach for the trusty ecig and vape away... When stress rears its ugly head, I reach for the 24mg juice for a while. Works for me.

I hope you will find your way through the cravings, and remember, we're here to help and support.

What you said makes sense, thank you :). I know lately I've been craving something familiar to me, after my car accident my life got turned kinda upside down for a while. While the finger I broke is getting better, it still has an awkward splint on it (takes me a while to type responses), I'm trying to get my sleeping habits back in order from the insomnia that has plagued me the last few weeks and it's just gotten to the point where I can enjoy my coffee in the morning without suffering from anxiety/anxiety attacks. Perhaps something in the simple act of getting my morning coffee triggered this. Sometimes I look at all the vaping paraphernalia around my room and it seems so foreign to me . I just want my life back to the way it was before my accident.

Hi,
I don't think it's weird at all.

I'm vaping for 2 months now, first two weeks I still tried 4 or 5 analogs just to realize the differences, and never was able to finish any of them since they tasted so bad.

I still sometimes crave for an analog.
Today for instance I'm really thinking about it even if I know it will taste me terrible and I will not finish it.

I think I will always have the cravings that's something I don't see going away even 10 years from now.
Whenever they appear I try to concentrate on the bad taste that I know analogs now have to me, and if I'm really craving I just go and vape a while and eventually the cravings go away.

I know they will come back in a couple of days or in a week or so but fortunately it doesn't bother me that much.

Thank you for your encouragement. I got this. I think. I hope. I don't want to start smelling like a dirty ashtray again :(.

Yes, you've got this! There are a lot of folks here on ECF that will be happy to provide support as you need it. Most of us have been through exactly this (or something very close to it).

If you do somehow manage to slip though, I have one piece of advice.

Don't count your failures by the cigarettes you smoke, count your successes by the ones you don't!

I guess what seemed so weird to me was how sudden and STRONG this craving was. It hasn't been like this since the first few days I quit. It's starting to pass and I'm feeling a bit better.

Thank you all for the support. The people on this forum are awesome! I'm so glad I found it, even if in doing so has cost me a few penny's out of my pocketbook lol (I'm addicted to trying new juices/flavors ;)).
