Have we all been welcomed now? Suggest we close this thread and move all further discussion on to:

Hi, Committee!

Hi, Atty! I think we might leave thread closures to Whiskey and Tibs... I know it's fun, but we can't all be running this subforum--too much chaos. It will take us a while to figure out what goes where... BTW, I have a feeling that Classy's thread should stay open too--like she said, that would be a perfect place to contact her when we need her. This way she wont's have to read everything.

Just a thought. :)

HOW MANY TIMES TO I HAVE TO SAY I RETRACT IT? But OK. There are are a few others that haven't called me out on this yet. So I'm waiting. Now collecting more extraneous comments. Please continue to discuss this meaningless point below.

Seriously. Twice should be enough. This is 3. And I'm not just picking on you Kat dear.

As far as classy's post and the "OMG classwife is here" thread.

1) The thread purpose is done.
2) Several people said they were confused since discussions are everywhere.
3) If she wants a "mod discussion thread" or "classy discussion thread" why not OPEN A THREAD called "Moderator Discussion" or "Discussion for classwife"? Oh, I guess that would have it make sense, and be obvious to people so they would know where to post.

My bad.

Sarge, OTOH, has not complained. Also, he (well, j0ker) and I were discussing users. Also, I send the original request for classy to be added (A day before whiskey and tibs made a big deal of it not being done yet IN THE OPEN PVT thread, while sending extra redundant requests). And replied about LVM and the history.

Can we have thread titles that make some sense please? If you want a chit-chat thread, why not have a thread called, ahem, chit-chat? Oh. Sorry. My bad again. Too easy. Makes too much sense.

I've closed 2 threads. One of which was the discussion I WAS IN about adding classy. The other's purpose was to recruit list editors (my own thread). The third, this thread, was a question to you all, I didn't close it. Sheesh! Can't ask a question.......

Atty, we really haven't got anyone as a leader in here, IMO...everyone can moderate themselves...If we need moderation, lets leave that to Classy & J0ker...Closing threads btw should be done after OP is requested them closed and in here they can do so themselves.
Poor kat's under a chair now...I politely ask that you stop.

I'm not "running around closing other people's theads" whis. And I wish you'd quit making the insinuation. Two threads were closed:
1) MY thread.
2) The thread discussing the topic Sarge/j0ker/AND I where having. Sarge and j0ker are not going to come back in here and close stuff. Mostly they are ignoring it. I closed it and would do it again today for the same (legitimate) reasons.
3) The other QUESTION was a just a question to the whole group.

Kat. You shouldn't be under a chair!

However, you guys really need to quit this topic. IMO, I've done nothing wrong, and will continue to try to do nothing wrong. IDK why I keep having this debate, other than you instigating it. The more you want to discuss it, the more we can keep debating it.

My position and actions were correct before all your posts and will continue to be correct afterward.

Again, you've commented on emotional/manipulative stuff, rather than the main points.... like... why not open a "Moderator communication" thread if you need one?

Kat, don't feel bad. That's not my intent (I even said so!.. .that I wasn't picking on you in particular) however, even after retracting my QUESTION twice, I still have to keep discussing this.

"Stopping" closing my own threads if I want to.... why? As far as stopping this conversation goes, I'm only replying. However, the more I have to keep repeating myself, the more irritated I'm getting. :)

I close my own threads if I want to. Sarge's thread, although not mine, was my discussion with him/j0ker. If he has a problem with it, I'm sure he'll tell me. I've explained all that above.

The other (this thread) was a question to the whole group....so whis and tibs can close it or not. But I withdrew the question since CES wanted it for chat. (Although I'd open a "chat thread" if it was me.)

Have we all been welcomed now? Suggest we close this thread and move all further discussion on to:

But....but...Don't we need a chat thread?

;) :D
Fine with me. Suggestion withdrawn, let's avoid putting "business" in the chat thread tho.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what-is-where yet, but it's getting better.

Why are you commenting? I can reply all day. I have time. :)

Morri,

We can double your current salary for mind-reading. triple it even ;)

Ok, so the leap year correction is because the forum software identifies someone as an ECF Vet when they have at least 75 post and have been here for 365 days. The problem is that leap year added an extra day. so, anyone who joined after Feb 28th 2011 will actually turn the day before their listed join date (at 25 min past the actual hour that they joined)...so when we schedule the parties we correct the list to compensate. So, person who joined at 1pm on July 5th would turn at 1:25 pm on July 4th.

so, when we post dates we specify join date vs leap year corrected date. The list is ALWAYS leap year corrected.

Even better, time zones can make everything even more confusing. if someone joins just before midnight EST, people on the east coast will see a different join date than people on the west coast. That makes us all crazy....that's why Tibs sometimes adds the notes to the list to show that it'll be a different time/day for the west coast crew.
