If you like amaretto - Highbrow's is a must have! True, sweet amaretto flavor.

I loaded up a tank with 3/4 Orange de Sangre & 1/4 amaretto and it's just like an amaretto sour - yum, yum!

 Thanks for reminding me, I have some Amaretto steeping now!

:)facepalm: Dang, I have too many juices . . . )

Tried the RY4 again and it's growing on me. Even filled a tank with it. One thing that makes it different than other juices is that it leave a residual smell in the bedroom. Not a problem but was wondering why.

Vanilla bourbon is still the wife's favorite. She says it tastes like plum. Actually, the vanilla flavor seems much lighter than the first time I ordered it. She has two tanks and will often have both filled with the vanilla bourbon!

Bryan, I received the Caramel/Apple/Tobacco today, and it is really great! Very smooth, nice and sweet, mellow like I requested. Giving me tons of vapor, just like I like it! Thank you so much!!!!!

this sounds pretty tasty :)

Bryan, how do I get a bottle of what lostknitter has ? ;-)

I suppose I could just request the same/similar mix ?

lostknitter, what is the base tobacco used and the flavor ratios on this, if you know ?

I don't know the ratios, I believe he used Highbrow Exotic as the base (it is really good by itself too, I need to order some more), I asked for caramel apple, told him I like mellow, not sharp apple, this is really good, I've gone thru 3ml since I got it at lunch today. I'm sure he has the specs on it.

I've tried all the Highbrowbaccos, except Perique, that's why I asked, Exotic sounds good ... I like cigar best, but as a cigar, not for a sweet-ish blend, I don't think ... I use to enjoy apple pipe tobacco when I smoked pipe, and this blend brought back good memories

you made it sound mighty tasty, so I'll just ask for lostknitters blend :)

Hello highbrow hat tippers!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday with their loved ones. We celebrated Easter and my grandpas 88 bday, it's been a busy day! :)

I was wondering Bryan, now that u have a few months of business under your belt, what do u think about starting a new business? Has it been like u hoped? Any surprises? Disappointments? Where do u want to be a year from now? What would u tell someone who was considering going into this industry?

U know how I am, I am endlessly fascinated by this new industry, and I love hearing how ppl feel about making their mark on it :) and of course u don't have to answer.

I am hoping to place a new order in the next week or so, I am ready to get some new juices to try. Plus I still have to get my mits on some waffle juice!!

Chat more after I get some shut eye, tomorrow will be here way too soon for this tired mama

Highbrow has really been a blessing in that we have the most wonderful customers a business could ever ask for. Vapers in general are great folks and the support has been outstanding. As far as starting a business to be completely honest I had no idea how much work was involved. Everything also costs 5 times more than you expect as well which is a definite Murphy's Law. I think in the next year or so opening up a brick and mortar would be the ultimate goal if for nothing else just to get awareness up about what it is we are all doing. At the end of the day having happy customers is the most rewarding facet and turning strangers into friends has its own rewards. Helping those out that need it and guiding new people to equipment that will help them succeed. Keeping a hobby mindset and not a business mindset is important.

Aroma is such a big part of flavor. With vaping you are not actually eating or drinking something that the juice is mimicking so having that "nose" can really make a juice shine. All juices should have an aroma and if not I think they are not using enough flavoring which is the most expensive component of a juice and arguably the most important. If you can't smell it you more than likely cannot taste it. :vapor:

Since you mentioned it.... I was going to keep quite about this until after I had got to sample it... but the subject is raised...

Last night I ordered a one regular and one custom French Pipe. On the custom, I asked Bryan to switch the cherry out for apple instead. I also prefer the clean/coolness of menthol in my tabacco's... so they also have that added. My original ( with the cherry ) knocked my socks off... I expect the same from the apple variation as well... Of course I'll report back after I've recieved it and tried it out... I'll rush steep it again since that worked out so well for me on the last order.

I also got what I think will be my all day vape for a while ordered... 2x 30ml of tabac de Perique ( w/ menthol )... between the 2 Pipes and that... I've got 120ml of some awesome juice on the way ( once Bry quits messing around and ships it ... lol )

Hi BBB I have the specs on that and can make it for you no problem. Order as any tobacco and just let me know somewhere you would like the "lostknitter blend"

I will also add a bottle of menthol straight to you order since you enjoy it so much. Add to taste if you will...

Ok, I keep reading all these glowing reviews, and the flavors sound so yummy, I just placed my first order.

Trying a bunch of different flavors, I'm most excited to try the orange de sangre! :D

Great to have you here katann23! Welcome.

Bryan,

Thanks for the thought... I do like a bit of menthol in my tobbacco's... but that would be all ( AFAIK )... So save yourself a buck or two and I'll just mention when I want menthol in them... You already get the mix about as perfect as you can... The thought though was still very cool and is certainly appreciated.

Oh... I'm even thinking that on the next time I get a refill on the actual Menthol version, of having you tone it back just a touch... The Exotic blend mellows out but the menthol notes don't as much... The odd thing ( or not so odd ) is that on the French Pipe and Perique, their notes don't get covered as much by it so the last order it was perfect for those two..

Someday, once I get the confidence to DIY more ... I may take you up on it and then I'll just order the Tobbacco's straight up and do my own doctoring... Then I could keep some untainted samples of some non-menthol around for friends to try out and possibly get you some new customers in the process to boot...

Randy

Bryan, it's great to hear your business is doing very well, and if you open a brick and mortar shop I will make my way down there to come on in. Opening and running a business can be challenging for sure, but it sounds like you are learning the ropes quickly :) And for us regulars I just wanted to say thank you for giving it a go because you have a really good thing going here. :toast:

I have to say, of all the vendors I purchase from, I purchase more flavors from Highbrow than any other, they are all, for me, very true to their descriptions, without any "funky" tastes. I have tried some juices that sounded promising from other vendors, but some of them have a taste that I just can't take. All the flavors I have tried from Highbrow are really good! Some may not be my favorites, but none of them will go to waste at my house!

Welcome to the highbrow thread! Hope u soon find a one of a kind vape! If u need any suggestions or have any questions just ask, we are a very friendly and helpful group. Altho if u do ask for an opinion, u may end up with info overload, we tend to get a lil exuberant at times, lol ;)

Lostnitter
I know what u mean about aftertaste and funkiness in juices. I gotta tell u that is a deal breaker for me!! I can forgive juices that don't have enough flavor or throat hit, but when there is that "off" taste or "funkiness" I am not as gracious about it. I usually will let a juice sit with the top off for a couple days or so, and if it's not gone....off to goldfish paradise it goes!! I really don't understand how vendors can put stuff like that out and charge money for it!! Now I know that some vendors use vinegar or lemon juice for certain things, and I can detect that and I know they are at least trying. But when I get that "other" taste, I cross that vendor right off my list, because to me it means they don't care.

This has NEVER been the case with Highbrow! I have had a juice that needed more flavor, and I have had juice that needed to sit, but I have never had anything funky in my juices from them. I mean it makes me just a wee bit nervous when I get a juice and have to wonder what's in it? What really floors me is when I will see rave reviews about the exact same juice!! Idk maybe I am too picky, or just a pita  Thank goodness we have Bryan at Highbrow, I am so glad his business has taken off and not faded into the last pages of the ecig suppliers thread. I have seen lots of new vendors suffer that fate. That would be a real shame if that had happened to a Highbrow. I am glad it stays up front where it belongs, and it's thanks to all of his faithful customers :vapor:
