When my DH came home from the workout center last night, he told me he had run into one of our doctor friends. The doctor has always been adamantly opposed to smoking. He knows I quit smoking year before last, and he knows I vape, but I think he, like a lot of the medical community hasn't been willing to accept e-cigs as an alternative. BUT he engaged my husband in a conversation last night about a medical article he read that day that stated how research has shown that by switching from smoking to e-cigs, lung function improves, as well as blood pressure, O2 saturation, etc. and how e-cigs are so much many times less harmful than smoking. OK, I know this is vague, but even if he had quoted the source and stated all the statistics, my husband only gets the high points anyway. So, maybe someone in the know could locate the article and post it somewhere, because I haven't a clue. I just wanted to point out that at least there is a glimmer of hope that just might bloom and spread, especially if all the doctors that bother to read those articles start recommending e-cigs and stand up in favor of them publicly. If the medical community would get behind us, if might make a difference in the long run.
I told my husband if our friend would have listened to me, I could have told him all those things years ago.
