I tried cleaning the cartos out and I haven't had much luck. I boiled them for about 10 minutes and then let them dry a few hours, then ran really hot water through them, then put them in the oven on a very low setting to dry them out a bit. They work fine but taste horrid. Ah well, dems da breaks.
You may have to fill them 1 more time after you finish vaping off of this fill. I have had luck with most of my carto's especially my ce2r4's, but a small amount of boge's had a bit of a dry burn taste, but after a couple of fills they were good to go. Just glad you got to vaping again, would hate to see you have to go to the gas station for you know what!

Thanks Wood, it is going to be a very long road for me to recover from this, and I am glad, even though the circumstances are bad, to see the community unite to lend support to a fellow vaper. That means the world to me.

I lost my pooch of 13 years two years ago. I still think about him often. I did get another pup shortly after and it did me a world of good. But I still have his ashes and haven't yet decided what I'm going to do with them...two years later. I'm really sorry for loss, it's a long recovery process.

I am going to place an order ASAP for some cartos that will actually work for us, but I'm sure it will be at very least a few days for shipping (going to order from Canvape since it'll be fastest, hopefully) it looks like we will be stuck smoking the stinkies.

ChellyNelly, Canvape has awesome service and will correspond with you and any questions and as I've said in other threads they must be connected with Can Post as damn their FAST... I ordered a smokeTech from them and love it, in fact I order all my supplies from them.... They are simply just a awesome supplier and it is so nice to see such great customer service and reliable products.

Thanks guys :)

Onename - I have been in contact with Adam from Canvape and they're getting me set up, really wonderful, down-to-earth people and GREAT prices! I managed to borrow some money so I've got 2 boxes of Boge SR cartos and a Smoktech Ego LCD 110mah with the 2 smoktech 5ml cartos :) Just waiting for the word to pay and hopefully they'll be able to ship today if I'm lucky :) So sometime next week I'll have fresh new cartos and over the weekend I'll be meeting with Cactus for her old Fluxos to give them a try

The Calcium, Magnesium and minerals in the tap water reacts with E-liquid and the Nichrome/Kanthol heating element. There's always a residue left behind. Distilled Water only is what I'd recommend. ..or high proof Alcohol.

Oh man, 13 years, that is just such a long time to love your dog and have them leave you. My pit bull is 10 and I have another senior great dane too. But I do have one baby great dane that is only 2. I have decided I can no longer get a new puppy due to this tragedy with Justice. But you know, you are so right about getting a new pup to love. So many need us out there, and it can definately fill the void. My heart goes out to you. When I get back from my trip out here in the Rockies, I am planning on getting another portrait tattoo of Justice. My first great dane Kane died back in 2007 and I got him on my arm. I tell ya, being a girl without kids, makes these dogs family to me. And I would not want it any other way.

Justice has been in my thoughts since I read your post yesterday, I have honestly not been able to get that picture out of my mind - and I haven't been able to let go of my pooch ever since, so much to the point that she's squirming trying to get away from me :D

JUST A DOG

From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog,"
or "that's a lot of money for just a dog."

They don't understand the distance travelled, the time spent,
or the costs involved for "just a dog."

Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog."

Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog,"
but I did not once feel slighted.

Some of my saddest moments have been brought aobut by
"just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch
of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.

If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you probably understand
phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."

"Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship,
trust, and pure unbridled joy.
"Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience
that make me a better person.
Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look
longingly to the future.

So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog"
but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future,
the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts
away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday they can understand that its' not "just a dog"
but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being
"just a man" or "just a woman."

So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog,"
just smile,
because they "just don't understand."

Obviously I didn't write that :) but I agree it's absolutely beautiful, whoever wrote it. I've had people say that to me so many times "it's just a dog" and now I just smile as the poem suggests.

I'm so sorry to hear about what you have to go through right now  I have a feeling I'm going to get a warning for totally derailing this thread, but I can't help myself, here's one more I think you may like:

Yes, that's a great one, Phil. It should be a 'must read' for every potential dog owner. They ARE way more than 'just a dog'.

And @ Danesnpits - still thinking of you, too, and the grief you are going through. Big hugs!!

(and that's the last I post as well re dogs and derailing the intent of this thread)

DevilFishPhil, if any words could be of comfort right now, your's just did that for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this post. Justice is thanking you too, as everything said here, is EXACTLY how I have lived for the last 12 years. I am so glad to know you have your trusted companion there with you right now to comfort you. Not knowing a person, but seeing, just what it means to someone to lose a loved one whom may be just a dog to others, by these words, truly makes her death feel like it was not in vain. I truly truly appreciate these sentiments and I hope you don't mind if I use this as a post on my own page on facebook.

I'm happy to hear that it brought some comfort, and of course you should definitely share it. The more people we can educate about what it means to have a dog in your life the better off this world will be.

And this one too! I feel so very blessed to have made that final walk to my van with her, and was with her when she passed. I would not be able to bare her not being with her momma as she said goodbye. You have some very powerful words here that anyone who gets a dog should truly understand. No one taught me any of this, it all came naturally.

I think every breeder, pet store, shelter etc should have a copy of these "Canine Commandments" - people should not be allowed to get a dog just because they like the idea...

Thanks for the offer! We're meeting with cactusgirl sometime over the weekend to grab some Fluxomizers and give them a try on the 510s, and we have 2 boxes of standard resistance Boges & 2 5ml SmokTek mega cartos (and 2 eGo LCD batts but that's beside the point :D:D) coming from Canvape hopefully on Monday or Tuesday! :) So I think we're out of weeds for now, so unless you don't want them :)tongue:), I think we should be ok.
