My battery went dead and I grab another, no biggie, I screw the carto on and no workie? Hmmm, well I wont go down without a fight, so I clean the end with a q-tip and alcohol. Still no workie, Odd I think. I grab another carto, works fine, grab yet another, works fine? Hmm, ok, so I grab a carto of the flavoer I want, get three hits, and nothing? Put it on the PCC and it shows dead but the LED doesn't flash.
I'm not worried, I know Steve will make it right, not that he needs to, I just find it odd it died like that!

I had a similar issue with a replacement battery Steve sent me. I resolved it by submerging the battery halfway, including the manual switch, into a bottle of rubbing alcohol for a few seconds. Then, I alternated between wiping the battery and blowing it out the LED end. You'll have to repeat this process until dry. If you blow it out from the LED end, and no liquid drips from the manual switch, then it should be dry. You should then give it an additional half an hour to dry completely.(NOTE: Your battery may go off and on during the drying process.) After the time has passed, put the manual switch under a rise, preferably in hot water. Then, repeat the steps for drying above(NOTE: You may or may not have to wait the additional 30 mins for it dry after the rinse). Your manual battery and switch should now function properly.

I should note that this procedure is recommended only if your battery manual switch seems unresponsive.

Also, just as an FYI, the battery LED will not blink if is completely dead. You have to wait a few minutes for it to charge and it will then blink.

Oh yeah, that's mass production @ it's best...lol! No matter how hard one tries, using machines, making more than one item at a time, is always going to produce a few flunkies...lol!! But, the way I see it, I can learn from you all. keep a few spare parts, just in case one is malfunctioning on arrival... Thanks for the info, I will try to keep a few just in-casers on hand @ all times...smile.
***Update#2: My hubby still hasn't touched an analog since he vaped the Vapor King Monday evening ( 7 Dec 09)... Yay!!!, thanks Steve and V4L!!

I received my order this week and yes, they did it again! More goodies in my sack!!! They sent me a shortie batt.........I LOVE it! .....only problem is, it doesn't work! Tried charging and it won't take it. I really, really want to use it and plan to order more - but is there any way I can fix this one? Can I soak it? I saw there is a sticky on how to fix them. I watched it, but we've got computer problems right now at work - tech is working on mine this week - and I had no sound. Is that the best way to handle a short batt? It is so cute! ....and purple! THANKS V4L!

Well that battery died the night before last! Just gave up the ghost No lights when charging, nothing, dead!
Then I killed one today! I was jumping up to grab a nail gun on top of a wall with it in my shirt pocket. It jumped out and hit the floor, nothing but a dull glow from the LED and a few wild flashes when hooked up to the charger!
NO STEVE, this was my fault, and NO STEVE, you have done more than enough for me, NO STEVE, you will not warranty this one!
But I think I am going to have to get a lanyard, no matter how much I hate that idea, and I am going to have to work on development of the ruggedized battery for people with a lifestyle like mine!
