I have been vaping for 23 months now, and never really had a thought of going back to cigarettes...

Having said that, my last two weeks were quite stressful, and it was the first time I had a lot of stress since I started vaping.
I found that while the electronic cigarette has taken away my general urge to light up, it didn't relieve the stress like cigarettes did.

I have been reading up on what we are missing from the juice, and there are things in e-juice that help in those times of stress.
Mainly, the Whole Tobacco Alkaloids (WTAs) that seem to have a calming effect.

This thread is a very interesting and informative read...

I would love to get some WTA juice for stressful times, if only someone was making it right now.
Or maybe just use some snus until the stressful times have passed.

Maybe you might consider that, to help you through?

Fifty Five days in without a cig and today was the hardest for me so far. Even harder than day 3. I don't know what happened, but today I kept reaching for my cigarettes and thinking about them and craving them. I know how bad it will taste if I smoke one. I know how bad I will smell. I know how it will make my mouth feel and my breath smell. I still want one though!

I don't have any cigs. And I won't buy any. I just keep hitting this banana e-juice like it's going out of style.

Lord Help me!

When I had the flu last winter, I didn't smoke for 5 or 6 days. That first cigarette tasted terrible! I remind myself of that and how much better vaping is when I start to miss analogs. Today the battery on my 901 ran out during my afternoon break at work. I probably could have bummed an analog off someone, but was determined to stick with vaping even if it meant waiting a few hours. Luckily I didn't have any strong cravings so the wait wasn't hard at all.

Accompanying your mom in her last days must have been difficult. I admire you. Please accept my condolences for your loss.

I never considered that vaping was a crusade or a religion. To me, it is not incompatible with smoking. I didn't go into vaping to quit, so if I feel the urge to have an analogue (which I still enjoy), I do. No guilt. It just so happen, that I started with mostly smoking and ended up mostly vaping (2 analogues in the last three months). I just keep my vaping stuff in good shape and a pack accessible so that I HAVE A CHOICE!

I am sure that I will have times when vaping will be my major source of nicotine and times when smoking will take over. So be it. I tend to prefer vaping at the moment, and I did give my car a super cleaning because the stale smoking smell was driving me crazy :(. I don't smoke in there or in the house any more

So my advice is to go with the flow...keep you atty in good shape, your battery charged, and your favorite juice on hand. Smoke if you feel like it, vape the rest of the time. You might very well end up being a full tie vapor soon.

Michele, I don't know if they sell them where you are, but out here they have these cheep flavored cigs call Prime Times, which you can buy in single tubes for a little over a buck. What you might want to do is keep working at making your e-cig your primary means of getting nicotine, but when the craving hits you really hard, run down to the corner store and pick up a PT. They are more like a flavored cigar with a filter, but when you need that little something that an e-cig is missing, you can get it in a one shot, so you don't have a whole pack sitting around tempting you all day.
