The long and short.. I was using standard 510 equipment, I have used different batteries and attys, but all standard sizes. I have used standard unmodded carts, and tea bag mods.

Complaints/Comments with my equipment:
Seems to draw hard, even with relatively clean attys (rubbing alcohol method)
Tea bag mods dry quickly, bad taste right behind it.
Standard carts also dry quickly.
Flavor/Throat hit:Acceptable when freshly wet.
4-5 hits on any cart (teabag or unmodded) and flavor decreases rapidly.

I was off analogs for 20 days, and went back off and on again for the course of months. I now am smoking full time and using my E-Cig only when im someplace that doesnt allow smoking.

I have been through bad tasting attys, tea bag mods that seem to burn up juice quick, and just a general long term battle with finding a combo that works for me.

When my attys are working and my batterys are charged its somewhat enjoyable, but its not going to work in its current state to get me back off analogs.

I have tried reading different threads about ohms, volts and watts of equipment as I look to upgrade but someone usually chimes in and gets so technical it makes understanding what the point actually was quite difficult.

But my scenario is this: I WANT TO SET ANOTHER QUIT DATE! I want to get equipment in my hand that I am confident will be an enjoyable vaping experience.

I have been looking at going mega batts attys and carts to hold more liquid and reduce the amount of reloading of liquid that I currently do. I have been looking at LR attys, and not sure thats the answer and if it is if I need to change my batterys as well. I now see there are things called wet boxes? What the heck are those?! Do I want one? Are E-Go's better than what im using?

I guess the bottom line is for me this entire industry is evolving so fast, and theres so many different options out there I cant afford to just buy them all to see what is high quality and what isnt. I hate to say it, I need someone to hold my hand and help get some better quality gear with good vapor producing quality. I have been a servant of the 510 since I started, but it seems the longer I vape with them the less consistant it has become, and its more work than pleasure.

I dont want to smoke, everytime I light up I am disgusted with myself. Mentally I am ready, but I need my pacifier. And an E-cig I cant count on is just an excuse waiting to happen.

So, if someone would like to help me and hold my hand through this, PM me, or please reply. I am desperate to find an answer.. or an improvement.. just something. I love my life, I want to keep living it.

The way I'm understanding it is that the main problem you've had with your kit so far has been with the 510 cartridges - poor wicking from the cartridges, and sometimes a stiff draw.

I think these problems could be related. I have found that some 510 cartridges have just had way too much filler material in them (they were over packed), with results like you mention - hard to draw, and needing to be topped up every couple of puffs (but not absorbing much if any liquid). With these cartridges, the amount of filling has a big impact on how well they wick. Too little and it is likely to leak. Too much and it does not wick or hold much liquid. There are also more elaborate cartridge mods that some do, but personally I don't have the patience.

But IMO, cartridges are not the best so it's an idea to look at other solutions. Some include:

- Direct drip and abandon the cartridge altogether (not recommended on automatic batteries)
- Use a juice feeder mod like the "Wetbox" that you mention
- Use cartomizers instead of atomizers with seperate cartridges
- "Smart carts" (new, as I understand it this is a commercial version of a cartridge mod)
- Tank systems like the eGo-T

Direct dripping, once you get the hang of it, should get you a good hit every time. It's much easier with a drip tip, which allow you to direct drip without removing the mouthpiece. The trouble is, it's sometimes not practical when your out and about.

Juice feeder mods can work very nicely. The downside is that they can be quite expensive up front, and they don't look anything like a cig of course if that's important to you. Cheaper ones like the Wetbox seem to have a mixed reputation, but quality mods like the Reo and Phidias have very dedicated followers. Check out this introduction in the ECF library - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...world-mods-illustrated-guide.html#post2021298

Cartomizers are a great innovation, and just the ticket if you want cheap and more or less hassle free vaping. They hold more liquid than the seperate cartridges, and tend to wick better too. I would recommend the Boge cartomizers as they are easy to use and work well, and are economical. If using larger batteries like the eGo, or a mod you can use the low resistance (2 ohm) version which hit harder than the regular (3 ohm) ones. Low resistance cartomizers or atty's are not recommended on the standard 510 batteries.

I can't really comment on the Smart Carts. They are a relatively cheap upgrade to the 510 if they work properly (and if you can get them). They are sold here - GotVapes SmartCart .9ml Clear Tube Cartridge for 510 Atomizers [gotvapes-510smartcart1ml] - $4.99 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

The Joye eGo-T seems to be getting a lot of fans at the moment, and is another solution to the cartridge problem. These work best with PG juices (and in my experience un-thinned VG juice can cause wicking problems in almost anything). The atomizers are a bit expensive but it does look to be a real step in the right direction.

Bigger batteries than you have now (e.g. eGo or a mod using say a 14500 or larger battery) will last longer between charges, and probably give a more consistent vape too. I think then my suggestion then would be an eGo-T. You can use regular 510 atomizers on it too. Or an eGo with Boge LR cartomizers. Hopefully I've given you some idea's though.

Direct dripping will help a great deal so will a nice high power mod, something like a Provari or any nicely powered variable voltage mod to dial in you ultimate vape, as well as possibly a nice VV bottom feeder like a VV Ali'i ,, anything that will give you a continuously great vape all the time is key here to being a happy vapor and staying off the analogs for me.!! don't give up, heck how many packs of cigs would you buy so why not try to change up PV's I think you will be happy if you did.
