Just for my bi annual cleaning. It was the first time I've been to the dentist since i ditched the cigarettes in January.

I didn't tell her i quit. But within the first 10 seconds of the examination, she asked if i quit smoking. She says my gums and mouth tissue look wonderful.

She asked me how i did it, and i told her i did it with ecigs. She didn't know much about them. Shed just seen the ads on billboards and on tv. She was very pleased.

I also spent probably 15 fewer minutes in the chair which would normally have been used to scrape tobacco stains off. All is good

My dental health hasn't been better since I was 18 (48 years ago).

My dental tech and the dentist noticed a remarkable improvement at my first post-'bakky cleaning. After two years, I spend more time in da waiting room than in da 'chair'!

my dentist showed me an xray of my bone loss due to my smoking. he told me eventually i will lose most of my teeth if i continued to smoke. It freaked me out and that was the time i decided to man up and quit. its been 6 months now and since then he doesnt sugar coat the bad news to smokers and bluntly tells them they will lose their teeth if they continue to smoke.
