What a difference juice makes

For the first 6 months of my 'e-cig' life - I was using the Blue Premium 100. Loved the vanilla flavor and everything about the experience, except the cartridges just didn't last anywhere near what was stated. Even though there was vapor being produced – it tasted terrible, like burnt.

After reading similar stories, I wandered down to a local e-cig retailer (name withheld). They had all sorts of kits available, and they even made and sold their own juice.

I bought an ego clearomizer (I think that's what they're called), a puff king adjustable strength battery, and a bottle of their own homemade vanilla juice.

Got home, tried it out and - wow - the vapor production! But also, wow - what a terrible flavor! I thought I was doing something wrong. I went back to the store the next day and exchanged the juice for another of theirs – cappuchino. I picked up an extra clearomizer, since I heard they don't last forever.

Same thing - great vapor production - TERRIBLE flavor. I even tried my second clearomizer.

Since I knew Johnson Creek is the juice supplier for Blu - I ordered some French Vanilla from them online. It arrived a few days later and - BAM - it tastes INCREDIBLE. I actually like the taste more than the Blu Vanilla. :D

I don't know enough about the differences between PG and VG – maybe that had something to do with it. BUT, unless someone has better advice – I'm sticking with Johnson Creek.

Finding a flavor that you like enough to use all day is as important as finding the right gear. Glad you found a juice (and company) that you like.

I've probably tried 20 different juice vendor juices in 1 1/2 years vaping. I might like one flavor from any particular one. I have found one vendor that I like the majority of their flavors, so they get most of my business.

Should you decide to venture out with other juice suppliers, consider buying sampler packs if they offer them, or smaller bottles if they don't, in order to save money and not waste money on flavors you don't like. Once you find a winner, order more the next time.

I've never cared for most all-Pg flavors. I've used 50/50 and all-Vg juices. Unless the vendor recommends a particular ratio, I now order a 50-50 ratio pg/vg. This is what seems to work best for me.

Good advice above. Also, give those bottles you don't like a little time stashed away somewhere cool and dark to steep for a week or two. You'd be surprised how many eliquids taste better if you give the flavors some time to meld together.

That said, I've purchased plenty of juice that tasted awful to me no matter how long I steeped them. Not all eliquids are created equal, as you've recently discovered.

steeping is essential, especially if it's mixed fresh. I had some mt. baker ry4 which was terrible out of the mail. After about 3 weeks in my desk drawer, top off - shaken everyday i remembered and it became fantastic and one of my all day vapes. I have tried about 7 different vendors and have only come across a couple of flavors I didn't enjoy. Sampler packs are key, I have found a handful of flavors I never would have ordered but were included in the pack that were incredibly delicious, blue marcy from greenmanejuice.
