Hello everyone!! New to the forum just recently discovered the page. Having a lot of fun building and learning about new mods and coils. Ive attempted to build my first coil which was a Vandy Vape mesh rta...not really sure what to think of it yet bc my first tank was a smok prince tank which i liked alot. Now that ive built the mesh rta the flavor from mesh is absolutely phenomenal compared to regular coils. My only issue with it is it works basically when it wants. Ive tried everything i can think of. Basically if its not spitting back its burning the cotton or its the best one ive ever tried there is no in between. Figuring this tank oit is absolutely annoying at this point. Does anyone have any secrets i dont know about. Thanks a million. Love the forum.

Welcome to the forum. Not familiar with your tank but familiar with mesh wicks in the old genny's .
One thing about mesh is if not properly seasoned it can have intermittent shorts thus giving a burnt taste and in your case cotton as well.
Once any short is fixed ss mesh is wonderful.
As a note cotton was not used in the older genny's such as the DID20 etc as the mesh was rolled seasoned and then wrapped with the kanthal .

I believe the new "mesh" stuff uses a mesh coil (heating element) with cotton/rayon wick not a mesh wick with wire coil like the genisis tanks.

Thats correct for the newer folks to forum reason why i mentioned older Genny's used no cotton just mesh for the wick.

I really appreciate all the feed back im getting. Really helps me decide whats next. Just a random question. Whats in everyones opinion the bestvall around rta on the market now? Thanks again everyone.
I don't know what the best one is but i picked up a couple coilart mage rtas super cheap and they are pretty good. I'm used to low subohm rda drippin and I was very happy with the mage for flavor and cloud production was pretty good. Not completely unrestricted air compared to some things but was adequate. I also just got and have been using an Aromamizer Plus 30mm rdta for about 5 days (not cheap in the slightest ) and so far I'm not impressed with the flavor. Maybe i just haven't put the right build in it... Clouds for days, flavor for crap... Have to restrict the air quite a bit just to get any real flavor.
