I have noticed that my nic is very peppery as well. I used void mist for my first order of nic. Not bad nic IMO, but since it is my first purchase of nic im still a noob and I dont even know what I am to expect. I dont find it unpleasant, but I also wonder if there is nic out there that isnt as peppery as this one. I order 24mg from venders and I mix up 24mg and mine always does have a peppery taste when venders I use usually dont.

That's how I found VoidMists to be also. I try to order from XtremeVaping or MyFreedomSmokes now because I've found theirs to be un-peppery.
