i just started vaping with a clearomozer at 2 ohm.
i use that clearomizer with a ego-t 1000mah pasthru batt.
awsome results.
i now want to know what i have been wasting?
if you all can forgive me, let me know what i should be using.

The right clearomizer can be a good vape. If you aren't getting a plastic taste or dry hits from lack of juice feed, they will be great.

You should try Boge 2.0 cartomizers. These have filler inside a black or stainless steel barrel as opposed to the clear barrel of the clearomizer.

Smoketech dual coil low resistance cartos are really good and hold a little more juice than the Boges.

You said you were using a passthough. Some eGo-T batteries would untie you from the leash of the PT. You may have those already. Try the above and see if you like the filler style carto experience.

I am using the Lava Tube right now but I have a Buzz Pro coming in the mail right now and am ordering a provari this week. Honestly I do not know how much better the more expensive VV PV's are than the Lava Tube but I expect they will work better at high voltage as well as being more solid and can not wait to find out.

I get a full day + out of a IMR 18650 on the lava tube and from what everyone has told me the provari is easier on batteries as for life span on any of these units it will depend on how many time you drop it or get it wet in my opinion. My lava tube has had a few bad falls and so far so good. I would say go over to the mod forum and check out the provari there that is what I did.

You don't need to spend that much to get a good vape. It's really up to you, its a good product, durable, if you take care of it it should last a very long time. The reason it was recommended is because you said $300 dollars, its considered many to be top of the line, kind of a luxury thing too. If you want all the fancy features, variable voltage, checking ohms on cartos and attys, and whatever else, go for it if you can afford it. You can get alot of the same features on the lavatube for cheaper. Certainly missing some of the bells and whistles, and probably not as durable, but for the most part, it does what you need.

Why isnt the ego doing it for you? The battery life should be pretty good, do you want something that you can push up the voltage?

so......
the lavatube is the bang for the buck?
the ego is only 3.6 volt, i want (or should i) to vape at higher, or am i wrong in thinking more volts the better?
really, i have no idea anymore, you all have proven me wrong, i need to learn..........
i dont want to waste......
i find myself "rolling the atty", i do this every 7 to 10 mins.
that gets my lips very hot.
cant really recommend it to newbs (me)if their lips burn.

For me the 3.7 V didn't do it anymore, so I moved to a 5V box mod. If you want to get a nice lava tube with a year warranty, Apollo has a VV mod out now for 59.99. They are a reputable company and stand behind their products. You probably want to have at least 3 batteries on hand so one is always charged and waiting. Good luck and let us know what you get! Also, you need at least 3 ohm carts to use at higher voltage.

If its what you want, its better. With more power, you get more heat and vapor. It might be why you like that clearomizer, it has lower resistance than what you were using before probably. Lower resistance on attys and cartos = more heat and vapor too. Your juice might've tasted better too.

A problem with the lava tube is you won't be able to push the voltage too high with really low resistance cartomizers, like 1.5 ohm dual coils ones. It will limit how far you can go up, but i don't think thats bad, you should be able to get them heat enough for what you want. If you want to read more about it http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/canada-forum/264848-lava-tube.html Generally the point is, get standard resistence stuff, adjust voltage with the lava tube. With your ego, you can play around with difference resistance stuff, and find something that you're happy with. Sounds like you enjoy those clearomizers as is.

The real draw to provaris and lavatubes is the variable voltage, not just having more power. You can set it exactly where you want it, adjust if necessary.
