What am I supposed to be soaking in vodka??

Ok I have searched the forum and searched Youtube with no satisfactory answer. I have a Kanger Evod BCC, what part of that am I supposed to soak in vodka to clean? I know how to clean the tank part so more specifically which part of the head? The whole thing or do I pop the center stem off, put the flavor wick in a safe place and soak everything else?? Totally confused. I'm assuming it will be okay to soak it overnight but please advise on that as well.

You can soak particularly gunked heads - with wick - in vodka overnight. You can toss all of the tank pieces in if you have previously filled it with a fairly potent flavor. For the majority of my cleaning - hot water, thorough rinse and dry, then dry burn if needed.

I rarely bother with a vodka soak. ymmv.

You can take apart the tank and soak it all. It will clean the parts very well. You can in fact, drink a little of it while waiting. The most difficult part to clean is the coil. I don't pop off the head unless I have not been able to clear the burnt taste the first try. If you do that, just dry burn it (fire the coil while it is connected to the battery in short burns) then use a can of compressed air (air duster) to blow out the crud (don't burn it while doing this step....very important!!). This should clean everything nicely! Put everything back together, fill the tank, let the wick soak up a little juice and VAPE ON MY FRIEND!

Vodka is okay. The cutting power is in the alcohol content so you would get a better cleaning from using Everclear. Or Walmart sells 91% alcohol in the cosmetics section next to the peroxide. Everclear is 95%. Most vodka is 40%.

Be careful soaking the cart itself in vodka. It is, after all, plastic. Hotwater rinse and repeat works for my evods. Hot water rinse on coils, take the tube out of the coil head (long stem), remove the flavor wick and then you can do the dry burn. Pop things back together and viola` you ar done.

I frequently soak stuff in Vodka. I get told not to do it now and again on UK forums.

........personally, I can't see why... it cleans, it helps remove certain juice tastes.

I also use sonic cleaners for some vaping items, and yet that meets with 100% approval.

vapers... eh?

Clean your attys under hot running water, quick dry burn. Save the vodka for drinking.

I've tried the soaking thing myself, never really found it work very well compared to a rinse and a dry burn.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, did my first clean and rewick tonight, pretty impressed with the results. I just used cotton from a qtip but on the video this guy had some stuff that came from Michaels, cotton yarn called Lily sugar 'n cream. Is that any better? Because frankly qtips are cheap

just be sure to boil your cotton before using. those that use the organic cotton balls from pharmacy suggest a boil also. the yarn has been mentioned a few times on the forum, with good results.

I used that brand of yarn for a while but I personally found organic cotton balls wicked and tasted better IMO
