What is the difference between the 510 and the KR808D-1? I know the 501 is 3 parts, battery, atomizer, cartridge and the KR808D-1 is 2 parts, battery and cartomizer. I'm just confused as to how one would refill the cartomizer or clean it out. Can you clean them out and put another flavor in them? How long do they last? I've been reading such good things about Vapor4Life and there products that I figured this would be the best place to ask this question. I am brand new to this and am awaiting my L2-510 order but I was also wondering about the KR808D-1. I will most likely have a couple different kinds of PV's until I find what fits me best. Thank you everyone for your time!

I really don't know too much about it but I did buy the adapter so I could put a 510 atty and cart my my KR808 battery.

Speaking only for myself I hate it... With my experience with it I dont get the vapor nor the flavor that I get with my KR808 carts but then maybe its must me.

I think all you need to do is soak your atty in alcohol to clean it ( didn't bother cleaning mine, I just threw it in the forget me box). As far as filling them you just drip some juice in the fill (5-7) drops I think and repeat often. You wont find it in this section but you should find several posts on how to clean your 510 atty and fill your carts.

What you will find here is how lots of people quit using the other devices once they got a KR808 and how we all love our Vapor King KR808's.

A 3 piece is a lot more hassle, but because the KR808 has a built-in atomizer inside the cartridges you don't ever need to mess with them, myself i just throw the carts away i don't bother refilling them or messing with juices, i like to just screw on the cart, vape it all, then put a new one on. It really couldn't be any simpler lol. People do refill them though and it's not difficult, just gotta get your technique down :D

Here's the link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/39350-refilling-cartomizer-movie.html

I started with a 510, but I wish I had found the VK first. My 510 hasn't been used since the day I received my first VK kit.

Cartomizers are easy to refill. There's a couple easy tricks to mastering it (like spinning, using the plug, etc.), but once you've got it down it only takes a few minutes. I'll typically refill enough at one time to last the day, sometimes 2. If I'm lazy, I'll use a syringe to inject a bit of liquid in without removing the cap.

You can rinse the cartomizers, but there may be some holdover with stronger flavors (not really had a problem with it myself). I typically buy new carts with a given flavor, then extra liquid to refill with the same. A rinse is also a good idea after a few refills to clean out the "gunk" that accumulates. Worst case is you toss the cartomizer if you don't like it; I had 510 atomizers that I could never get cleaned out from a bad flavor.

How long a filled cartomizer will last you depends on your vaping habits. For some, they'll last a day or more, I go thru 5-6 a day myself using low-nic liquid and vaping constantly, slightly less with a stronger nic liquid.

Cleaning is easy, just take the white mouthpiece cap off and run it under warm/hot water, then blow through until no more water comes out.

How long they last is really subjective as we all have different vaping habits, but, a typical cartomizer will hold between 20-30 drops of liquid, compared to 10-12 in a 510 cart(I think). Also, with the cartomizer you will use ALL of the liquid you put in there, unlike the 510 I have that starts tasting burnt while the batting is still soaking wet.

Thank you everyone. I will have to give the Vapor King a try when I get some extra money for a kit. I can see this becoming a worse habit than making candles and bath and body stuff, lol...I love fragrances and I can see me really getting carried away with flavors but I think it should be fun and is much better than the real cigs. Thank you for letting me know all this info, it is much appreciated!

I was floored by how easy it is, and how inexpensive it makes it, to refill the cartomizers.

I go through two a day, but I vape a LOT more than I smoked... I never smoked inside the house/office/etc, but I do vape inside (so nice not to be outside shivering, or have to put it out when the phone rings, etc), so it's far more frequent. Reading the forum makes me think about it which makes me do it too. ;)

Even vaping two or more a day, I spend less than two minutes an evening filling cartos. They're just sitting there on the lab table, so when I'm on the phone or waiting for something to finish, I'll just fill one. It's such a non-issue - tougher than opening a pack of cigarettes really - easier if the little pull-tab on the pack broke off... ;)
