Hi Boys and Girls,

I was smoking Marlboro Menthol lights before i embarked on e-cig journey.
I have about 4 10ml ejuices now, all 24mg nic content.

i find them too harsh for my liking, i think its because of the nic content being too high.
is there something i can do to dilute those ejuices?

what nic content should i go for in future? 11mg or 18mg?
thanks alot...:(

Here's an overview of nicotine from a pharmaceutical standpoint:

Nicotine Information from Drugs.com

Here's the important passage from that page:

"What happens if I overdose?

Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine, or if anyone has accidentally swallowed it.

Overdose symptoms may include nausea; vomiting; ........; stomach pain; cold sweat; headache; dizziness; problems with hearing or vision; confusion; uneven heartbeats; chest pain; seizures; and death."

The first symptom I notice is a light-headedness or "buzz". That's followed by nausea and irregular heartbeat in my case. I don't want to know what it's like at higher doses.

Can't help you with dilution, but I'm sure someone will soon. Best of luck to you!

If you like the flavors, you can make a duplicate order in 12 mg and mix it 50/50.

If the flavors are strong, you can dilute them with some vegetable glycerin. I don't know what you have available where you live, but look for pharmaceutical grade. Get a syringe and an empty bottle and put 4 ml of your juice and 1 ml of vegetable glycerin and then shake it up and try it.

If your juice is 100% PG, you may want to order with a partial VG ratio, such as 70% PG/30% VG next time. I wouldn't go to 11 mg right away, try 18 mg first. 100% PG often feels more harsh.

99% of the time the first symptoms of a nicotine overdose (from vaping) will be a headache and nausea. If that happens, stop vaping for a few hours. Nicotine has a half life of 1 to 2 hours. The other symptoms of nicotine overdose are generally seen when it's ingested, or from large amounts of skin contact. Inducing vomiting in that situation is generally not advised. It's usually treated by administering activated charcoal, and/or gastric lavage by nasogastric tube.

The lethal dose of nicotine is 0.5 to 1mg per kg of body weight, or about 40 to 60mg for an average adult.

Also keep in mind that there are 52 medications (both OTC and prescription) that are known to interact with nicotine.

The harshness that you feel may not be from the nic content. In my limited experience, I find that pure PG blends are harsher on my throat than VG. Pure VG however doesn't have the flavor. I have tried different nic levels (11, 18, 30) and the nic level doesn't seem to have that big of an overall difference. I am still experimenting with blends.

24mg is pretty high, especially if its 100% PG. A friend of mine who smoked marlboro reds - 3 packs a day, started with 16mg 100% PG and it bothered him. It was actually the PG and not the nicotine. I told him to get ecopure rich which is 100% VG and even at low nic concentration (10mg) he's completely satisfied. For me at least, 24mg is really harsh, it may suit you though. For me at least, ODing on nicotine usually starts with slight dizziness

thanks for all the inputs, the juice is actually pretty nice.
but when i vape, it feels too harsh on the throat...

kinda reminds me when i smoke higher nic content analogs.

so i guess i'll have to junk them :\ i thought i could dilute with water. haaha

I wouldn't junk them order the same type with lower nicotine and combine them.... if its 100% pg try adding a little vg to it instead.
