So today is the day my infinity is scheduled to arrive after being repaired (thanks Mike and notcigs folk!) To keep myself from stalking the mailman, I venture to the next county to put up posters for our lost dog, Reggie. Im cutting it close to get back in time for work, but decide to drop one off at the ARL. Lo and behold, my poor little Reggie showed up there THE DAY we lost him! (He was 5 miles away when they picked him up. He's a fast bugger! ) so what are the odds that on the SAME day, both my babies return home? My infinity is magic, I'm totally convinced of that!

Thanks guys! How much of a dork does it make me to wave my infinity around like I'm Harry potter? Teehee. Yes today we are going around to take the posters down and spread the word around the neighborhood.

It's truly a miracle we got him back. He had been found 5 miles from home within hours of him running off. They had him at the ARL for almost a week, and once healed from his neutering he was likely to be adopted out, if I had never gone there, or gone a few days later, we may have never seen him again. My heart breaks just thinking about it. My dogs hold a place in my heart equal to that of my kids. I can't take that kind of heartbreak.needless to say we are fencing in our acre property so this never happens again. He's part greyhound, so leash walks aren't an option. He was born to run.

Hey Mikkie, You might want to look into getting your friend microchipped. My vet does it for around $50.00. I have both of my dogs chipped. That way if they end up in a shelter they can be scanned and identified. I think it's worth it.

Thanks mist. We are having that done this week at our vet appointment when Reggie gets his rabies vaccine and stitches checked. I'd often thought about it, but never opted to have it done. I'm kicking myself for the trouble it would have saved me.

Since it's so important that I had my 4 legged family member chipped...I've thought about getting it done myself.
But since I'm rarely off-leash anymore, I figured "why bother".
