I can't stand the smell of them anymore.
I was riding my bike the other day and a car pulled up next to me at a red light. Passenger window down and lady had cigarette hanging out window. The smell alone made me nauseous.

I don't hate the smell. But, I do notice the smell. Before, I did not. Now, I will notice it when I walk into a room, or come in contact with a person. My 'smeller' now smells a lot more stuff. Sometimes that is good, sometimes not.
That's a nice case I am more of a tower kind of person.... I picked this case out Obsidian Series® 650D Mid-Tower Case - Obsidian Series - Cases I figured I would install two LED fans on the top to give a subtle lighting since it has a side window..... As far as the hard drives go... Do I go with dual 250 GB SSD drives or a 250 GB SSD drive for the operating system/programs and a 1TB HDD for storage, what is my best solution? I am staying away from a water cooled system since I will not be overclocking the CPU, it should be fast enough as is....I second the Windows 7 over Windows 8. I just built a system and got Windows 8 and it's a PITA. I run Start8 from Stardock and run everything in classic windows mode. I built it with a Cooler Master HAF XB case and I can't recommend it more highly. Super easy to work on, clean and swap out parts.
I have built RAID systems. Single handedly the best performance improvement for Windows in the time of hard drive launching. An SSD does away with the need for it. However, given SSD's failure rates, I'd recommend 4 120's or two 250s instead of one 480.

I notice the smell, too. Sometimes I get on an elevator and smell that someone has recently been on a smoke break.
I hope you're tolerant and polite to smokers, though. I remember as a smoker, it was always so irritating when people would make a big show of fanning their faces and coughing or tell me to go somewhere else, even when I was in an accepted smoker's area. That sort of rude confrontation didn't do much for me other than to strengthen my stubborn resolve to keep smoking. I had to continue causing vindictive discomfort to people who obviously needed to be discomforted.

I still have ashtrays in my home. If a visitor wants to smoke, they are welcome to.

I know a lot of people who don't smoke in their houses. Being a chain smoker, that would not have worked for me. Years ago, I purchased a professional steam cleaner to clean my walls. With hubby and I both smoking, they used to get really bad!
Go one SSD and one larger storage drive. For the price per gig, I think you'd be better off getting a 2 or 3TB drive than a 1TB though. Check newegg, outletpc, tiger direct, and some deal aggregators such as dealnews or ben's bargains to see what you can find.
