Anywho, I will leave the PC workshop to you experts..
I am in no way singing any praise for Windows. I had to use Windows. No choice. If you are writing code, you have to use the platform your customers want/use.
I am no longer a computer expert. Got real computer stupid, after depending on staff to do all the tech stuff. Now, I'm retired stupid. That's a whole new level of stupid.
Well this is just my stubborn opinion, stupid or not, but any windows is better than a Mac (except for windows 8) ..........Sorry.........
Dodging tomatoes and covering ears from all the boo's , sorry............. I just hold a grudge for MACs from the days of photo editing and video/graphics classes, where I was sent to the back of the class and shunned for not owning a MAC. I was causing decent for being able to do all the same things just as well on a PC.

Many people swear by Mac. Supposedly, it is way more user friendly. I don't know.
Windows 8! I wish I had done my homework before ordering my Mother's laptop! That thing is still sitting there untouched. Turned it on, said 'yuck', and never touched it again. Need to find one of those programs to make it act like windows 7.
Windows should have stuck with XP.. Everything they have put out since then has been garbage!

As long as the OS plays well with the programs I use, I really couldnt care less. Like I said, my grudge, childish and stubborn as it is has to do with the old days of photo finishing. The Mac "artists" would spend tons on a MAc, which I didn not have in those days. My professor would pound the "have to use a MAC" or nothing artistic or photographic can be done.
I told him, I did not have the money. I stopped telling him what I owned. Someone asked me what I used and I told them a made to order PC. They made such a big deal about it, but how, but how? I told them Photoshop is Photoshop, works the same.
Then this young kid stood up and said I use a PC too, The teacher went bollistic, guess he didnt know that I started the whole thing. THe kid defended PCs and went on with technical things like Rojo (winking at me) was speaking and my Professor threw him out.
I felt like "blank" I went out after the kid and apologized. He said not to worry, that he would see me next week. Well the kid was back next week but Professor did not return.

O.K. I have a lobster story. My Dad used to fly for a living. He used to bring home live lobsters(lots of them), and put them in our bathtub until my Mother would get around to cooking them. A friend of my Mother, needed to use our bathroom. Nobody warned her about the lobsters. When she went in, the movement scared her half to death. She screamed and hit the floor. It was bad! My Dad thought it was funny. My Mother did not. But, she wasn't any fun anyway.
My local vape shop guy was praising the new Efest IMR 18650's he got in. Flat-top(same size as AW IMR), 1600 mAh, HD. I bought a couple.
That right almost for got about that one, it was the combo of XP and NT. Then came those milleniums, me and then Vista. Bothersome. Windows 7 is similar after you figure out where to find somethings they try to hide. I just hate the way WIndows 8 looks, I know it was designed for tablets and touch screens, but I hate it. Its all hip and cool and colorful. I always make my background black and take away all the visual bells and whistles. I rather save my ram for actual use than waste it on needless visuals.
