Stuck at work (hey, at least it's OT), waiting to put a 345,000v transmission line back in service.
At least I have good company:

I ordered a kayfun Lite plus, last night, and accidentally purchased a Doc Dave Ti Mini Micro at the same time...whoops! I think it'll work well on the blemished Ti 18350 tube, or on my p+16, if. Ever find a flat cap for it..

Not so much what I'm doing, but what I should be doing. I should be writing a paper for my saturday class, instead of that, I'm counting seconds for my Bioshock Infinite game to be done downloading.

Hey Nic,

Since it's done downloading and you've launched it, you are now very aware your homework and grades are about to take a very serious hit! Bioshock Infinite = Incredibly awesome. Better than the firt two which I didn't think was possible.

I'd love me some Norfolk Tears! :toast:

How's the Rose working out? Is it all that it's been advertised? Perhaps more?

I haven't quite found a build I love yet. But I've only tried .4x.1 ribbon in a couple of wicking permutations so far. I suspect that since the coil legs attach below the deck and there's no good way to have wick follow the coil legs all the way down to the deck, the Rose will probably work best with microcoils. I'm not the biggest fan of microcoils, but I'll probably give them a shot.

Nice thing is that even though I've tried a couple different setups, I'm still on my first tank of juice. :) Being able to re-coil without emptying the tank wins.

In any case, I think I need a few days to form a worthwhile opinion. The build and finish quality are top notch; but at least for me, it's not instantly my favorite atty. Give it a few days and we'll see what happens, though.

An atty I sold to cover the Strata (and various nicknacks to baby my incoming ELA) is lost. 10 days since I sent it. If USPS doesn't find it, I'll have to refund minus the $50 default insurance. I'm thinking I should have paid the extra buck and change for the upgraded insurance...

Edit: It would have been $4 bucks and some change. I wonder how much money they make by charging us to demonstrate our distrust for their services? Darn, my frustration's showing. I'd just trust them more if they publish information that this extra cost for insurance is statistically valid--it would be a great feeling if we could actually be sure if the government was fleecing us under our noses or not...

Gosh, Fidele.....That is a scary thought. Was there movement since it went into the system?

That is what scares me so much about sending things like my ELA back to its maker. I did pay the extra for insurance, because I am paranoid. Even with insurance, if it got lost, its not like I can get another one. Do they allow you to add to the worth for something that is irreplaceable?

I know it made it to Super-T, but now It has to make its way back home........ and I will be sleepless when it ships back till it get in my hands again.

PS, now Im really , really missing my ELA........:cry:

USPS is horrible and I hope they find the package for you..

A few recent experiences with USPS:

Ordered 2 items from the same company in NY on the same day (I forgot an item with the 1st order so I placed a 2nd). Both shipped the same day, one Priority and one 1st class mail.

The 1st class packaged tracked just fine all the way here and arrived in 2 days! The Priority package did not track until after it was delivered 3 days after the 1st class package! LOL

I had another incident where a package went to the PO for delivery, then back to a sort facility, then back to the PO for delivery, then back to the sort facility --> 3 times before it was finally delivered.

Tip: If you ever mail overseas and want to be sure the item actually arrives pay the extra and mail via DHL. DHL might be more expensive but the tracking is dead on and they are 10x times faster than USPS..
