usps ship insurance is a joke... the forms, the requirements and then the wait.

Eric, you have a lot more experience than I do in shipping things, but I've found that when I obtain USPS Shipping Insurance it really slows down the delivery. Probably because of their requirement to "hand off" the package as it progresses through their system.

Percentage wise, the odds are definitely in our favor that a package will be delivered. I realize that success rate is of little consequence to the person that does not get their package. That can be frustrating.

Hopefully that lost package will turn up.

I already emailed you via your site. You suggested I go to my local PO.

I went to the PO yesterday, they didn't have it there and I filed a report. They're looking. I spoke to the mail carrier this morning when he dropped off another package and they're definately working on figuring out what went on. And our local PO is normally great. Both the wife and I have run businesses out of our place and used usps many times for both shipments and getting stuff from suppliers, not to mention our various hobbies. Never had a delivery that hit our PO not make it to the box or door in over 20 years.
