I use low-resistance shorty cartomizers. I usually
vape with regular-length, sometimes XL cartomizers, and the shorties give me an accurate idea how liquids will taste on my usual setup. There's minimal waste, and it's easy. Shorties take only 10-15 drops. Unless my recipe turns out horrible, I vape through those 10 drops, tweak my recipe or strength, and refill with the modified version (repeat until I get it right or give up).
When I'm finished with that flavor, I rinse that carto under hot tap water and drop it in the covered cup of alcohol I keep by the sink. Most mornings I take the soaking ones out, rinse, and leave them to dry. Shorties have little filling and dry fast, and I always seem to have some clean ones available. I've been using the same set for about 3 months, probably 100+ flavors, and they're still fine.
