Last night, here at casa de addams family, I couldnt get to sleep. So I crept downstairs, to fall asleep on our sinfully comfortable, evil sofa (its evil cuz you wake up unable to use your back or legs) and zonked right out till my five thirty wake up call.
I say "wake up call" but what I really mean is waking up to see my husband (who is now going by the moniker of LURCH) fall down the steps and hit his head a few times. As he lay there, I was struck with many different urges-the first was to wet myself (which I managed to abstain from), the second was to rush to his side to see if he was still alive (which went well until.....) the third was to strangle him into his next life when I realized he was laying there giggling!! WTF!!??!!! AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
effin' men. seriously.

So I'm thankful I gave up smoking--because let me tell you, the old "tonna" would have smoked a carton right then.
And yes, I'm thankful AND grateful he's okay. kinda. maybe a little ......, still, but grateful. I also discovered that my new lung capacity for volume has improved-though not so good for the self induced migraine my husband now seems to be suffering from. Ah, well, as our minister said when he married us, there are the wedding rings, and the SUFFERINGS.:p

What are YOU thankful for?

I'm glad to hear your husband will be all right. It's actually good that he can have a sense of humor about his accident.

What am I thankful for? I am most thankful for my husband and son. My husband is the most wonderful man you could hope to meet. After over 10 years of marriage I can still say living with him is a blessing. Living with my son during his teenage years was not always a blessing, lol. He is now in his mid-twenties and has returned to being human again. I am thankful for his wit, his newfound ambition to make something of himself, and the fact that he is such a joy to be around.

Yep, my husband only has some bruising, which is pretty amazing--though I did make him stay home from work so I could make sure he didnt end up with bumps on the noggin, or anything else. Thanks for the good thoughts, we are both grateful that he's okay.

But I have to agree with you all--the e-cigg has changed my life, too. I only started a few weeks ago (maybe 2?--holy crap, two weeks without buying any smokes!)
and I was prepared to be one of the folks who failed, or had a really rough time of it. The only thing I've had trouble with so far is that if there are smokes in the house, I'll smoke them. Since I ran out, I havent had any troubles, but if they were in sight............not so much. So I know thats a danger point for me. My husbands smoking hasnt bothered me at all, which is kinda nice, I'd hate to be one of those "ex" smokers who are touchy about it. Hard to be touchy when you have a great vape lined up, and so many new flavors yet to try!!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and I'm also thankful for you all and the support I've gotten here, this forum really does change lives!
