Last night, here at casa de addams family, I couldnt get to sleep. So I crept downstairs, to fall asleep on our sinfully comfortable, evil sofa (its evil cuz you wake up unable to use your back or legs) and zonked right out till my five thirty wake up call.
I say "wake up call" but what I really mean is waking up to see my husband (who is now going by the moniker of LURCH) fall down the steps and hit his head a few times. As he lay there, I was struck with many different urges-the first was to wet myself (which I managed to abstain from), the second was to rush to his side to see if he was still alive (which went well until.....) the third was to strangle him into his next life when I realized he was laying there giggling!! WTF!!??!!! AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
effin' men. seriously.
So I'm thankful I gave up smoking--because let me tell you, the old "tonna" would have smoked a carton right then.
And yes, I'm thankful AND grateful he's okay. kinda. maybe a little ......, still, but grateful. I also discovered that my new lung capacity for volume has improved-though not so good for the self induced migraine my husband now seems to be suffering from. Ah, well, as our minister said when he married us, there are the wedding rings, and the SUFFERINGS.
What are YOU thankful for?
