What are you using for a backup?

I use a Halo Triton as my backup.

I use a Nemesis with a Kick2 as my primary.

I've got a broken SVD that I keep to remind me of what not to buy in the future.

My original eGo clone (two batteries) is my backup to my Vision Spinner. Soon, the Spinner will be my backup to a Vamo V5, with the eGo sticks serving as 'last resort' backups and carry-on cannon fodder in case the Blueshirt at the TSA checkpoint is feeling especially powerful that day.

My backup is all the previous ..... I bought before what's currently my shiny new toy. In practice, my second nemmy backs up my first, and I run a evic easy head on 350 and 650 tubes if I think I'll be drunk enough for a regulated mod to be advisable. You may scoff, but those cheap two-mode heads have been aces for me.

i only carry 1 setup with me so either my surfrider/origen or paps/kayfun. the only extra thing i'll carry is juice and battery.

My main is a ProVari with a second ProVari as a backup. Never had to use the backup but I did have to (in my mind) justify buying another ProVari.
