I've made some poor batches of juice and also had some pretty terrible (to me) vendor juices. Instead of trying to sell, I've been able to make them fairly tolerable if not good with a bit of trial and error. Obviously the flavoring has to compliment or overpower the original.

Wondering what others do to fix either flavor profiles they don't like or poor vendor juices? Mostly looking for core flavor extracts that you use.

Here's a few I've been able to make tolerable for myself...

Fixed a bunch of caramel type flavors I didn't like by mixing them together and adding some cinnamon / cinnamon red hot.

Fixed a PB cookie type flavor I didn't like with double chocolate and a bit of graham cracker. (basically PB cup came out of it)

The last batch I fixed last night was a whole mess of fruit types I couldn't vape straight. I'm pretty in love with the end result. The "bad" juices (in varying amounts) were something like... passionfruit, sweet cherry, watermelon (non candy). Added a shot of strawberry, shot of pineapple, few drops of dragonfruit, grape, coconut and sweetener. Original was 12mg and obviously getting on the thin side for nic so added ~3ml of 18mg Tropical Punch juice to even out the nic. Came out amazing. If I could reproduce this I would... tastes very close to Zeus's Medusa juice which I love.

Anyway, carry on. :D

I have only had one batch that I could not save. I made a batch using ripe banana that was just too much flavor. If I try to salvage it, I might use just a very small portion to mix with strawberry in an attempt to make a strawberry-banana mix.
I generally mix fruit and berry flavors. In my mind, they are easy to fix by diluting with more PG and/or VG or add higher percentage of flavoring. Other than that one batch of ripe banana I have not had anything too bad, but, I can vape almost anything.

You hit on one of my fears; creating a great juice that I can't reproduce. I am fanatical about keeping notes!!!

Totally understand that fear Lurch. I make my edv exactly the same, and for some unknown reason, one batch came out tasting like heaven (if that was a flavor). I have no idea what I did differently and have yet to replicate it. I don't even know where to start considering I do the same thing each time.

I use FA marshmallow to mellow out any mixes I have that end up with a sharp note to them. It adds body and mouth feel also. If you end up with any cinnamon mixes where the cinnamon starts taking over the whole flavor, I've found that adding a drop or two of apple cider vinegar/ 5ml will tone the cinnamon right down.
