Holy moly Meli, you brought up the "good seeing to" thing.

Anyhoo, I was just trying to throw you what I thought was a self-deprecating and friendly "bone", so please don't bonk me over the head with it ... I really wasn't expecting sighs and facepalms.

We all are on the same team, so I hope we can all get along and work toward the common goals of saving lives and enjoying our own vapes to the fullest. For my part, I have absolutely no ill will toward you or anyone else, and would be a fool to.

As I see it, if I had been born as anyone else, with their dna, brain, central nervous system, and sensory organs, and had had the same life experiences, which by definition I would have, then I can conceive of no force at work that would have made me think or act any differently. That makes it conceptually easy for me to forgive anyone, and it would be great if people could use this method to keep any ill will from heading my way.

Topic, topic, must stay on topic ......

OK .... It's probably been said before, but it continues to puzzle me why so many smokers/ex-smokers/beginning vapers who were spending thousands of dollars a year on cigarettes are suddenly on a really tight budget when it comes to getting some decent hardware, and/or are deathly afraid of spending a hundred bucks on something that might not be "perfect", but could easily be passed along to someone else who is presently dying from smoking.

Oh ... and those little pointy white rubber things that come stuck into the end of cartos that have a condom over them anyway. Must suck to work in a factory all day making things that serve no purpose and immediately get thrown away. :)

Where to start....
- People who think they are above others because they vape
- The word "analog"
- The term "personal vaporizer"
- When someone tells you that where you are going is "vape friendly"
- People that complain about their employer not letting them use their e cig inside
- E cig users who are so obsessed with the fact that THEY vape

Patch, nicorette gum, even the freakin nicotrol inhaler! I've had them all say that to me.

I remember those nicotrol inhalers.

When I was in high school my boyfriend had a couple refill packs from those laying around the house from when his dad had tried unsuccessfully to quit smoking.

I wound up using them to steath smoke at school. Was like the original vaping! But that stuff tasted more authentically like a cigarette than any ejuice i've tried. was no vapor to speak of though.

Shame his pops passed of lung cancer before ecigs came along. an oatmeal cookie flavored juice might have saved the man's life. *sighs*

The garishly colored websites for eliquid/equipment. I won't even buy from these sites.
The bizarrely themed eliquid sites (not to knock any in particular, but dragons and greek gods/goddesses DO NOT appeal to me)
People who cough while looking at me while I vape in public
Vapers who insist I'm not enjoying my 'vaping experience' because I don't use an VV or custom mod.
Tanks leaking while I'm driving (manual transmission, no less).

Have people with a patch on their .... asking me when I'm going to quit nicotine altogether been mentioned yet?

I'll go you one better! People who suggest you use a patch instead of an electronic cigarette...who'll agree with you when you point out that the patch doesn't work.

What about the people that walk around indoors in a store vaping non stop? The establishment may not care, but others might not know what is. That being said, there is a time and place for blowing your vapor all over the place, and it isn't in a family store.

People like that make the rest of us look like arrogant people.

Sorry for the rant, but that's how it is.

I resemble that remark well sorta....
I vape everywhere in stores out doors with green eggs and ham. I don't vape if there are people within 7 or 8 feet of me and when it has happend the people were interested in it. I use it to break the ice if you will. I use strawberry/ banana or something in the apple coconut range and have never had anyone complain. I have had several compliments on how good it smelled and where they could go to get their other half one. If you vape indoors then you need to be subtle about it and not be one of the cigar smoker types......cheers

Agreed... Don't walk around looking like a 19th century train, but if you are hiding it, it only increased the perception that it is bad, and something that needs to be hidden.

I still do it in stores, but I hold my vapor in longer and take shorter puffs. I also don't use my LTv2 w/Zen Atty lol.... Ego is my public vaping choice :)

I use my Provari everywhere I go, but same thing. Hold it in longer, release less vapor.

I'm guilty of this. Though, I do try to hold the vapor a bit longer so as to avoid someone trying to use a fire extinguisher on me. On the other hand, I also try to be as obvious as I can about what I'm doing because when I was 'sneaky,' a manager threatened to throw me out for 'illegal substances'....

Let's be real about this. There's nothing about vaping that makes is so addictive that we can't temporarily put in on hold until we've exited a public establishment...ESPECIALLY when we know that stealth vaping is always a readily available option if we have to vape that bad.

There really is a time and place for everything.

Agreed. You never smoked in that same indoor establishment, why the need to vape. Just because you can? I can go 20 min, 30 min, an hour without vaping just as I did when I was smoking. But hour number 2 without is a different animal. 8-o

Although I can say I went to an indoor rock concert for the first time since I quit smoking 7 months ago and it was a real treat to sit comfortably and drink the outragesouly over-priced adult beverages while vaping away almost nonstop. :D

Oh, I got one. Vapers who never let the damn ting out of their hands. My brother-in-law got me on vaping and when we get together for family functions I've recently noticed it never leaves his hand. Never. When I'm not vaping its in my pocket. I didn't hold on to smokes when I wasn't smoking.

I don't get him but he is an in-law, so that ought to tell you something.
