Tell me about it, customs just loves those, i've had several things never even get to me, they were returned...waiting almost a month, to find out, they have to send it again, and i'm pleading for blank box, no mention of electronic ecig'....customs loves to open packages, especially when theyre bored, lets see who we can hassle today'....most stuff i have to get sent to my mother in point roberts, wa.
some juice sites, like altcig, will send it regular air mail, and she'll put 0 nic for me on the bottles, even though i'm 18mg. i like those types of companies. ALOT. heh.

Funny pet peeve not previously mentioned.

Packages/boxes from vendors that also serve as advertising. Don't put your company label in 4 inch block letters across the box! She who gets the package already knows who it is from and what is in it. Purchase made, no advertising necessary. I live in a small town and my post office worker talks to everyone. I try keep my vaping on the down-low to avoid judgement and that does not help!

Personally I don't think I want to know how much I've spent on this stuff -- I prefer to remain blissfully ignorant!

Look at my sig. That was with $1200 or less spent. I just added $600 more. Will never see pay off. Oh well, its still nice to see how many analogs I never smoked.

I just got started and already can tell this is not going to be financially beneficial for a very long time. I'm trying to limit myself, but I'm going through the motions of testing anything and everything to figure out what is right for me. About a month into it and have ordered stuff at least 8 times at varying costs. I don't see myself slowing down especially when it comes to juices. You have to sample to find what is right.....oh...and....on topic....

Next Pet Peeve: Vendors who offer no sample size or smaller size other than a 15ml or 30ml. I don't want to commit til I know I will like. I want to at least pretend to be savy. Plus, with smaller sizes, you will make more money cause I will buy more many little bottles cause I do want to try it all.

I'm long past break even and spend way less than I did smoking. For lots of people its pretty much a hobby and hey if you are enjoying it and can afford it, go for it. There's worse past times and things to collect lol.

but they did save $xxxx by not buying cigs! they just spent the savings on other things. I don't think most people actually put the money they saved by not buying something in the bank. they just buy something else :vapor:

I agree. On the other hand, vendors who throw in a free sample with a large order are my new best buds! :)

My biggest "not a pet peeve" is free samples. They always give something I would not choose for myself...and sometimes they don't hit the mark, but sometimes they really really do and they make me a believer. It really makes my day (not that my day is not already made by receiving the package of goodies).

Maybe I did things wrong, but I'm >$100 in the black after making an order……I don't think I've ever been in the red compared to how much I was smoking.

Then again, I didn't go nuts right when I started and quit the minis pretty quickly.

smoktech dcc/ with 6ml tanks, and replacement cartys. 1.5 work best for a provari or LT etc. for me anyway, i'm sure alot of people would suggest other types..but dam Synthros, i gotta say, i've had these 10 dollar tanks for 6 months now, and like the provari, not a single scratch on em, nothing....just killing it...

So if it's not too ironic of me to attempt a minor thread jack on this here thread (which I know is a lot of people's pet peeve), do you mind if I ask where you got that little chrome beauty, synthros?

Here's a pet peeve that always happens to me without fail: I order a few things off a website and then something compels me to look back through the website once I've completed my transaction. I ALWAYS see something else I want or should have ordered. I don't want to eat the extra shipping charge on some dink item like a drip tip or bottle of juice, so I send some awkward apologetic email to the effect of: "Gee, um, sorry, but, uh, could I please add this one little thing to my order, that is if you haven't already processed it and/or shipped it yet? Oh yeah, uh, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. Apologetically and sincerely yours, Tez." Despite my groveling and self-effacement, I often get a "sorry but no." Uggghhh!

Knocking Stuff Over

Standing on my desk are three PV's. Three flavors. I reach for one and knock over the other two. Noisy. I've seen PV stands but haven't bought one because ... No Reason Whatsoever.

Since reaching the ripe old age of "should have known better" you'd think I'd have a better handle on cause and effect. Naaaaaaah.

Fudd's First Law of Opposition: “If you push something hard enough ... it will fall over.”
I'll call this bet and raise it with the extended collection of vaping crap scattered all over my desk LOL.

I solved the tipping over PV problem with an unloved coffee cup. A few batteries, sample juice bottles, etc, will help them stand up ok enough to get the job done and them out of tipping danger. Then the cup is full so I get another one. Folded up paper towel to catch drips when setting something down. Tissues for wiping battery connectors when changing. Old batteries that I know have depleted capacity to be really useful, yet I've kept them as backups to my backups to my backups. A 510 usb pass thru I haven't used in over a year. Chargers and cables for everything. Samples and samples of samples. Everywhere. Generally in order of likes by reach.

I'm at the two year mark and will probably celebrate with a hoarder style clean-up.

Then start over LOL.
