and when they refer to cartos as carts! they are NOT carts! It seems like one big vendor is "training" the customers to use the wrong phrase :?:

I guess sometimes I am just too lazy to include the "o" :p

I have a new peeve today. I peev'ed myself off. I pushed my tank tool too far and couldn't get the threads on my cart* back up into the tank. I tried really carefully, but alas, lost the tank. And had to refill again. Losing a tank o' juice peeve's me off.

LOL I have to correct myself about 30 times a day. OS X doesn't recognize carto so autocorrect likes to change it to either cargo, or cart. I'd turn autocorrect off, but it's actually helpful in most situations. One of these days I will add all these vaping terms to the dictionary so it won't autocorrect.

OS X…autocorrect

OS X does autocorrect? Is it a Safari "feature" or in Mountain Lion? Either I somehow turned it off or it's not in Lion/Firefox/[anything else I use] because I've never seen it.

…………just want to know if that's another damn thing I'm going to have to turn off just to run Pro Tools on a real computer.

It's been part of Mac since OS X Lion. It's easy to turn off. System Preferences->Language & Text->Text tab->Uncheck Correct spelling automatically. I prefer to leave it on though. If a word autocorrects that shouldn't, you just fix it, then control-click->Learn Spelling

Somewhere
I'm not actually subscribed to it and it's not in my subscribed threads -- it was just something I posted in a while back so it keeps coming up under What's New > My Posts. I haven't found any way to get rid of it. Like I say, not losing any sleep over it or anything, but hits my peeve button nonetheless.

Nope, you can't get rid of them. Once you have more than 1000 posts, (or something like that - I forget) the unwanted ones will start dropping off your My Posts. But you have to be unsubscribed to the thread, and..... Obviously.... not make posts.... Lol

- the term "taste is subjective"

- negative reviews that make it look like YOU are right and everyone else is wrong. (i don't like copper creek house blend but i didn't make a youtube video of how crappy it tasted and that everyone was crazy for loving it)

- telling a "newbie" to buy a provari along with half the juice at kick bass vapor (don't like that vendor either but once again... no negative youtube reviews). for the record i own a provari but for the first 6 months I personally needed that kr808d-1 battery to easily make the switch. now a year later i still love my extra long stainless steel 808 with stainless steel cartomizers and hot pink drip tip. don't rob others of that.

- people screwing eachother over in the classifieds.

- a thousand people bashing the same vendor one after one after one, day after day. it looks fishy and I don't believe it.

I can totally get behind that. When I write reviews, I usually end up writing with an addition as to why I may not have personally liked it and why you may. I've never taken a liking to chocolate anything with juices, even though I keep trying to find one I like because I do love me some actual chocolate. But I include that - hey, you know, I've not liked chocolate juices to date, but if you like chocolate juices, I would really push you toward this one! That kind of thing.

Whenever I write anything that can be construed as a review, I always add this tag line - My opinion only, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warrantee or guarrantte is expressed or implied.

The "you need a Provari and a 6ml tank" line always gets me with newbies. Some advice. Most, but certainly not all, are right where we all started, just looking for something that looks, acts and tastes like a cigarette and anything that big is a complete waste for them at that point in vaping.

Ok, here's one, with the caveat that I am a tank user...

-When people recommend tanks for the "simplicity of the system, because they don't need to be refilled as often as other systems"...even though every other aspect of using a tank system is MORE complex (and messy, and fiddley) than its predecessors.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy everyones reviews. Love watching them gag or even highly praising them. I actually try not to read about the ones I want to try. I like diving into unknown waters... then afterwards I want to know if people feel the same way I do. =) The problem is, many vendors don't explain what the juice is supposed to taste like. That brings me to ECF to search for it. Then someone says it sucks, then I don't buy it, then I waste money searching, then I go back and buy the juice "that sucks" and end up loving it.

j4mmin42's made me think of this. When another vaper sees your tank and tells you "those things are awful, you need to switch to a clearomizer." Well, first off, this awful thing is working out really well for me. And second, I tried clearomizers and they didn't work out at all for me. I'm glad you found something that fits your needs and you can use easily. Why not be glad I did the same?

Weird. Apparently it was on for my computer, yet it's never actually changed anything without me right-clicking and selecting an alternate that I remember. Vape, vaping, and vaper are all underlined and not changing. Weird.

Is it possible I'm such an OS X fan because several of the insanely annoying features that I'd hate just don't work on my computer(s)?

Amen.

That being said, I'd be one of those……if I weren't asking you where the hell you found cartomizers that don't suck. I still think carto tanks (johnboy lava tanks, cartomators, etc.) look better than any clearomizer……but I haven't found anything to put in them that works.

Autocorrect for Mac is pretty good... It kind of has an intelligent "thing" where it kinda learns your common words over time. Sometimes it doesn't change the word, but offers suggestions, and for less common words it will just change it automatically a la iOS.

Here here... I've actually had a couple of those gorgeous tanks before, but at the end of the day it proved itself to just be a gorgeous, huge cartomizer. Congrats to all who like and can enjoy them, but just not for me.
