Edit to add: The good folks who personally bring a copy of "The Watchtower" to your door every two weeks think that they are saving YOUR life. Think about it.

Without trying to sound like an Old Goat, I do not see the relevance of this comment. Lets try keeping religion out it.

A couple of mine:

When a noob who capitalises Every third Word and puts no punctualisation whatsoever in (what WOULD be) a four-paragraph post gets lambasted by some self-styled NASA scientist from Connecticut who tells them (until blue in the fingers) that they ABSOLUTELY MUST buy a $250 Provari and a self-repairing Biebermeistervapor 4000 because the flux capacitor will meter out at a dedicated 40 smerkel volt-amps -IF you use a Klein CL100 - otherwise you'd get a measly 38 smerkel volt-amps if using a Fluke or Ideal meter.

Pearls before swine, dude - have you bought YOUR 4-year-old any chainsaws lately?

Ya get what I'm sprayin'?

NB - "Smerkel" is a made-up word that only NASA scientists understand. YMMV.

Connecticut, you say ...... interesting ........

I'm in Connecticut, and have a keen interest in science - I wonder if I know this guy?

Who's recommending noobs buy Provaris????

Agreed, it's pretty rare - but it does happen ..... I stick to recommending VV eGo batteries, unless the OP MUST have a ciggie look-alike. Great bang for the buck.

I don't know which is worse...that there is no vapemail or if that no one recognizes the holiday for what it is.

Fantastic point. "Columbus Day" might have a little controversy around it, but the two holidays that I'd really like everyone to take VERY much to heart are Veteran's Day and Memorial Day. Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Normandy, Bastogne, the Bataan Peninsula, Midway, Anzio, the la Drang Valley, Khe Sanh, the Chosin Reservoir, Fallujah, the Korengal Valley ..... be glad you weren't at any of them, and please give it up for those who were - and are.

Without trying to sound like an Old Goat, I do not see the relevance of this comment. Lets try keeping religion out it.

Goats? Where??? :)

Today's pet peeve people who don't understand that my provari is the best thing EVER ;-)

My Bloog eats your ProVari for breakfast, and poops it out in the evening. :)

No .... I can't back that up. I'd have to say it's still the "gold standard" for the ultimate in VV (leaving bottom feeders out of the discussion). Made in the USA, too ..... imagine that! :)

Today I'm hating the look I get when I pull a syringe out of my vaping bag. I understand the connotations some people attach to it, but there are a lot of uses for syringes other than illicit drug use.

THAT is why I have chosen NOT to use any clearos or tanks that require a syringe to fill it.

Aw, heck. I don't care. I even use syringes to fill cartomizers! Admittedly, I usually use a needle top bottle (a bit lower profile) ...but the syringe works the best. Measuring and all that.

Yeah...it's not the holiday that bothers me so much as the day after...when the mail is LATE! Usually I can count on my friendly USPS guy turning up at 2pm. Day after a holiday? Anwhere from 3 to 5pm. Sigh. And I have a package that's been sitting in town at my post office since Sunday....

I can fill my clearos by dripping from the bottle, but it's slower and a lot more risk of getting moisture in the center tube. A syringe is faster, more accurate, and a lot less chance of a mess.

Today's peeve, juice labels that don't tell me what the PG/VG mix is. Proprietary mix??? Really???? I can't do more than 50% PG, so not only will I not vape this, the vendor (well known around here) will never get any business from me, nor will I tell anyone to ever use a juice they don't know the contents of.

Interesting that the new-born AEMSA (American E-liquid Manufacturing Standards Association) either doesn't care about having the consumer know what the PG/VG ratio of the juice is, or just forgot to add that to the standards:

Section 4.03 ...........Labeling

(a) Smear Resistant Labeling is required on all e-liquid products
(i) Must pass “30 second submerged” test for all required elements
(b) Nicotine content must be clearly displayed
(c) Safety and health Warning must be clearly displayed
(i) Contains Nicotine
(ii) Keep away from Children and Pets
(d) Nicotine Traceability elements (i.e. Batch ID or nicotine batch ID or production date)

http://aemsa.mentchconsulting.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/AEMSA-Standards_Version-1-6.pdf

Seems to me that it should be required.

OT Hey Balders, Where are you getting your Blackjack juice from please? I'm always in the market for that one...

Hi Hulamoon. It's from Flavourart.co.uk "Black Jack Vintage"

Blurb from his site "Black Jack Vintage was inspired by my memories of being able to buy sweets called Black Jacks four for a penny, an old, pre-decimal penny in the 1960s! The unmistakeable dark aniseed taste, enhanced with a couple of other background flavours, is reproduced as an eliquid you can vape and savour. One definite advantage of vaping Black Jack is that it will not turn your tongue black as the sweets used to! Nowadays the sweets just turn it grey. In today's currency, one 1960s Black Jack would cost just 0.1042 pence, ah nostalgia isn't what it used to be!"

It's the background flavours that really make this taste of Black Jacks.

You'll access the order page from this

Pet hates (non vape related, sorry)

1) Excessive use of periods to signal a delay to the reader............
2) Using commas instead of periods in the above situation

People who act like there's something wrong with vaping a cig sized PV. Like what's wrong with it? I'm comfortable with that size, I like that size and shape, etc. I know the battery won't last as long as your 5 lb thing,,,,,but none of them is perfect. If I have to buy 3 or 4 batts and several chargers, I will,,,,,,,If I have to buy a charging case, I will,,,,,,,,,,but I'd rather do that than carry that huge thing around,,,,,,,Now there's not a thing wrong with the larger ones if you like them,,,,,,,,each to his or her own, halilieujah that there's so many choices,,,,,,who knows what I might want to use a year from now,,,,,,,but for NOW this is right for me. Geesh.

Vaping related:
People thinking my PV is drug paraphernalia. I keep that stuff in private, dummy!

had to post this, not really a peve or hate, either way, I was doing overtime at work, and not very many of those people have seen me vape. One of the smokers asks me if I am smoking fermaldahide (can't spell), tried explaining it to him, realized his head was too thick, then he responded that he would rather keep smoking and know what is killing him, sigh. Then another smoker got in my vape cloud, and jumped away like it was a stinky smoke cloud! Wow! either way, vaping is more pleasurable than smoking has ever been. Oh, and this shows you how ignorant some people are... and how we have a long long way to go lol

Unicode has an elipsis character………I use it all the time. But it's not a period. They're very different marks.

Unfortunately, Windows doesn't make it convenient to type (on OS X it's Option+semicolon).

New pet peeve…apparently this forum auto-replaces a semicolon followed by a ")" with some stupid smiley. If I wanted a smiley, I would have used the BBCode for it.

I had the opposite experience tonight. A lot of people were really genuinely interested.

And another new one………going back to 4.6ish volts on my Twist after using Rnoserious's Provari at like 5.6V (same juice/head/etc.). 10.5W just doesn't cut it after you got used to like 14 and change.

Also, apparently I'm a power junkie.

Oh……and one more. After being 99% sold on a Provari, realizing that I could probably just stack RCR123as and get basically the same vape that I'd have it set for……I'd just have to wind coils a tiny bit higher resistance. Decisions, decisions………

I bet I know who THAT is. :)

You probably do. I won a giveaway that included a few bottles of this or I wouldn't even have it. I had tried some a long while ago because so many people seem to like it. It tasted like soap then, it tastes like soap now. Hell, the bottle that tasted like soap when I bought it tasted like soap at 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months steeped. I had actually called the vendor to ask if I had maybe gotten a bad batch and was told that my taste was bad, she doesn't make bad batches. Mmmmmkay, way to blame the customer. I don't want to hate anyone's juice. I want them all to be delicious.

Interesting that the new-born AEMSA (American E-liquid Manufacturing Standards Association) either doesn't care about having the consumer know what the PG/VG ratio of the juice is, or just forgot to add that to the standards:

Seems to me that it should be required.

I'd much rather know the nicotine/PG/VG content than have a label that stays on for 30 seconds under water. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't submerge my juice very often.

My peeve for the day is a juice vendor that send me a few samples along with the juice I ordered. I've got about a tank and a half of absolute deliciousness. I'm going to cry when this is gone, and I'm not due to order ANYTHING vaping related for at least a week. DAMMIT!!!!!! My budget is now screwed because I'm going to need to have more of this.

As we say in the States - "Wowee Zowee". (Well, some of us anyway). I'm not sure you caught my drift.

"No .... I can't back that up. I'd have to say it's ["It" being the legendary and formidable ProVari V2] still the "gold standard" for the ultimate in VV (leaving bottom feeders out of the discussion). Made in the USA, too ..... imagine that!" ........

or some of my other past comments about the ProVari V2:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/291667-smoktech-vmax-4.html

"If I were about to be stranded on a desert island with a 110v outlet [and a 55-gallon drum of an all-year vape had washed up on shore], and had to choose between the "V2Max" and the ProVari V2, I'd take the ProVari in a New York nanosecond. The VMax is obviously very new, and has a long way to go before proving itself in the areas that the ProVari is deservedly legendary for. It might take a while before it is refined, reprogrammed, or otherwise tweaked to make it more of a ProVari-class APV in reliability ....

At this exact moment, assuming an island stay of 5 years, and a choice of three VMax 1.0's vs. one Provari V2, I would have to go with the Provari. It just has too good a proven history of reliability to make me feel comfortable with the VMax for such a prolonged and lonely stay, a loneliness that I feel could likely be best assuaged by the company of a good vape, with the possible exception of an abundance of coconuts and bananas. But I would still miss the vape, and could probably never eat another banana for the rest of my life".

And this, coming from a monkey.

(Translation of the above: I was kidding about the Bloog).

*****

Oooh, one more:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nly-want-variable-volt-what-my-choices-8.html

"I just have to say that if it's reliability you want, then I think the Provari is the way for you to go. From what I've heard, it's about as reliable as the HAL 9000 computer (although when he screwed up, it was a doozy).

I've said repeatedly that the ProVari is my "stranded on a desert island" choice. Insanely reliable, can double as a nightstick, American made, and just NICE.

I've had my oldest VMax only a couple of months; a few hard knocks, and not a hiccup, but it has a LONG way to go before it proves itself to be as rugged and reliable as a ProVari".

(Again - it was a joke).
