No surprise that LR attys died quickly on 6V. They are intended for 3.2-3.7V vaping. [Check out my mini-tutorial on LR and HV, including volts/ohms/watts/amps. You'll see that a 1.5Ω atty on 6V generates an atty-frying 4 amps of current and an overwhelming 24 watts of power. We want to keep the current under 2 amps and most vapers find 6-8 watts to be the "sweet spot."]

You want to use HV attys, which are more difficult to find than LR or standard. Sources include: AtmosUSA (4.7 and 5.5Ω), Digital Ciggz (4.5Ω), FreedomSmokeUSA (5.0Ω), Good Prophets (4.2 and 5.0Ω), IkenVape (website down for maintenance as I write this, so no direct link; I believe 3.5Ω), Liberty-Flights (4.2 and 5.0Ω), MadVapes (4.5Ω), NHaler (4.5Ω), and Vapor Junction (4.5Ω).

Hmm. Upon looking into this for you, I see that there are more suppliers of HV atomizers than I thought.

Whoops! I remember now that the SparkPlug uses the 801-type atomizer, not 510. Make that Good Prophets' HV/LR Atomizer for DSE801 (4.2 and 4.8Ω), LiteCigUSA's DSE-801 HV (ohms unspecified), NHaler's HV 801 (4.5Ω), and Vapor Junction's EM HV 801 (4.5Ω). Or, of course, you could use those HV 510 attys with an 801batt-to-510atom adapter, e.g., $1 from Good Prophets.

Those various resistances on 6V will generate the following watts (i.e., intensity of the vape) and amps (i.e., the current that fries attys):

3.5Ω: 10.3 watts and 1.7 amps
4.2Ω: 8.6 watts and 1.4 amps
4.5Ω: 8 watts and 1.3 amps
4.7Ω: 7.7 watts and 1.3 amps
4.8Ω: 7.5 watts and 1.25 amps
5.0Ω: 7.2 watts and 1.2 amps
5.5Ω: 6.5 watts and 1.1 amps
All are fairly atomizer-friendly with the current. Your desired intensity is likely to be somewhere in there. [Mine is at the low end, i.e., ~6.5 watts.]
