What Batt for kicked SB with sleeve?

One IMR 18650 is listed on the site but it has a disclaimer 'we do not recommend using unprotected batteries'
So is this battery ok? I found one on another site but it is a flat top and I can't get it to work.

I have had a kick for a month and can't use it yet. Thanks

That battery is fine to use, in the event of a short the spring will collapse.

The Kick has protection circuitry built in, so while it may be recommended to use protected batteries with the SB by itself, the inclusion of the Kick makes protected batteries unnecessary.
