Unprotected batteries are bad.

I'd disagree. There are few circumstances where a protected battery is the right thing to use, and a good chance they won't even fit.

An unprotected, safe-chemistry battery like the AW or Efest IMRs is probably your best bet. Both flat and button-top will work fine in the Natural.

Those'll work great.

Wish I could point at where the best prices are, but every time I go battery shopping I end up looking at a dozen different places to see who's got the best price that particular day. Sometimes it's a vape shop, sometimes it's Amazon, and sometimes it's somewhere else. :)

Well, when you feel like giving 'em a shot, the AGA-T is cheap and it's the same diameter, so it looks pretty good on the Natural... That combo just happens to be what I'm vaping right now. And a Terminator on top is downright sexy, but I'd have a hard time recommending it as a first RBA. They can be a little temperamental.

Protection circuits were added to Li-ion batteries because sudden high internal temps from a short quickly cause the battery to go into meltdown that results in pressurization and spewing of the electrolyte. IMR LiMn chemistry has been shown to take short term high amperage conditions without such violent results. The 18650 IMR can take up to 10 amp pulse loads without catastrophic results and has been shown in tests to reach up to 500 degrees F without entering meltdown.

Treat all batteries with respect and use only single battery configurations to be on the safe side. If you use Li-ion, make sure they have protection circuits. IMR doesn't need them.

Best place to get EFEST batteries that i have seen is Fluidvaper. 18650's $6 18500 $5 and 18350's only $4.11. Just use code pinkpsssher for 15% off. They shipped mine next day. I love fast shipping. ;)

thanks ! just checked and they are out of stock of the 18650's :( prices are great though.
