What battery/atty combo

With the AW IMR 14500 being out of stock everywhere, I bought the AW protected 14500.

Right now, I vape either 5v regulated or 6v with 510s and that has kept me on the wagon.

I considered LR 510s, but read here they were not great with the AW protected. So, do I go SR until I can get my hands on the IMRs?

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

its a protected battery so you should be fine at LR. i am using a protected 18650 in a silver bullet with a LR From Ikenvape and i have no problems. the IMR will give you a little more consistent performance over the life of the charge but from what i understand as long as it is a protected battery its not really a safety issue. I have a REO mini on the way and had to get protected batteries for it as well.

Try the LR 510's if you like. Your AW protected batteries can handle LR. The IMRs just handle LR better.

Yep they'll work fine. I vaped for months on a UF protected batt and LR510.

I don't understand why the AW IMR 14500 is in such short supply. You might think that with the high demand the chinese might make more of them. After all I thought they were in the business of selling batteries...

They will make more ... the market will be flooded in a month.
Its almost impossible to predict the market on items ..... there is a whole business surrounding that skill.
