EDIT: Seen that Rob has already answered your questions before I finished my post.

I apologize that you didn't get a response sooner. I'm glad your deciding whether to get a REO as your first mod. If you do then you won't be disappointed. Just take a look at some of the various threads on here. Such as this one and:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-tricks-some-basic-troubleshooting-ideas.html

I don't use a multimeter but, I do use a volt indicator and a ego-510 extender:

Assembled Volt Indicator
510 Battery to eGo Atomizer Adapter

Since the connector is lower due to the catch cup. It makes it hard to screw in the volt indicator without the ego adapter. Which is why I use them both in combination with one another. This will make it easy to see when it reaches 3V.

And no, it's not imperitive that you have one because of a REO. I use it to test voltages when I use various atties and cartos under load when I test out my various bottom feeders.

The way you can tell when you need to change the battery is when you notice a drop in performance. Ex. less vapor, flavor, and TH than there was in the beginning. Not much people use multimeters unless they want to know if they have a faulty atty/carto or what I said above.

Hope that helps.

Thank you guys for the info. And in no way is an apology nessesary... the replies were rather prompt indeed.

I will get a multimeter for sure, I was just wondering if I had to expedite that purchase or not.

So, to buy a Grand, do I just wait and keep checking the website to see when the stock is in, or do I need to do something more proactive like PM the owner? Also, how long is the typical interval between restocking the Grands?

Thanks... and this is one of the most informative and friendly threads I've ever come across. COOL!

Just keep an eye on the Update thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...formation-most-recent-info-6.html#post4556623 Latest info is Grands available around 11/24, just select the "notify me" button. :)

Read through this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/195878-so-you-going-order-reo-process.html

Good luck and WELCOME future REOnaut!

Honestly, the multimeter will come in handy in the future. So, it'll be a good idea to get it.

What's the best atomizer or cartomizer to use with the Reo Grand? I'm having a hard time getting a decent throat hit with what I'm using. My other mod is a VV so I don't have this problem. This is my first 3.7 mod and it just does'nt have enough punch at this point. Thanks for any suggestions.
What are you currently using that is unsatisfactory?
My favorite at this point besides the LR306 by Cisco is the HH.357.....spendy, but worth it, IMO.

If I were you I would take the voltage of my VV mode, what ever you have it set for, and square it. THen divide that by the ohm of the atty that your are using. That will give you the wattage you like to vape at.
NOw take the Reo and the 3.7 v battery. THey come off the charger about 4.2v. Take 4 and square it and you get 16. NOw find the diviser that matches what you like on your VV devise so that the wattages will match. That should get you pretty close to the ohm atty that will be the equivalent of that you ar accustomed to using.

Example. You like 5v with a 2.5 atty. 5x5=25 25/2.5= 10 watts. Thats the heat you like.

Reo 4x4=16 ..to get 10 watts you would use an atty of 1.6.......so you could try a 1.5 or 1.8 ohm atty and see what you like.

TY all for the great info!!! I ordered my blk/blk Grand about 6 days ago and have been clicking the tracking ever since. The good news is last time I checked it said it cleared Canada Customs at 11:57 am Sunday. No tracking from rtdvapor on my batts and charger so hopefully they are close too. I'm so sick of my Ego Leak that I just drip it now. I watched every video review and read so many posts tonight my head is spinning. :) Looks like the only thing I'll need to pick up is a multimeter.
I have quite a few large coffee tins I used to throw the nasty Cig butts in. I'm thinking I'll use 1 to put my batts in while charging them unless anybody thinks thats a bad idea?
