Hi All,
I am new to ECF andwould really appreciate your advice/opinion. I started vaping a while ago. Iuse two suppliers, Premium and The Safe Cig. What kind of batteries do I have? The Premium Cigarette is here and the SafeCig is here (I tried to insert images below but not sure if it works!).
My problem is battery life and knowing what cartomizers are compatible. I haveto constantly charge my batteries and was wondering if anyone can give me adviceon either changing suppliers or give me tips. I also would like to know what kind of cartomizers I need to look for to buy? I pay on average $2 per and was wondering if it's what you guys pay.
Thank you so much,
BB

Hello,
If I remember correctly, the safecig uses 4081 cartomizers. the numbers refer to the threading on the battery. And libertyflights used to sell them. Sorry, its been 2 years since I used them so don't know if they still carry them or not.

You can do a google search for 4081 cartomizers.

good luck
:)

The Premium looks like an 808, and the Safecig looks like a 510. But, there's no way to tell for sure by just looking. All I can see is which is a male connection and which is a female connection. That doesn't tell me enough to know for sure.

If you want a cig-size e-cig, I would recommend Smokeless Image. They sell the very popular Volt, probably the best choice for that style/size. Just make sure you buy the 78mm batts, not the 65mm. That way you'll get better battery life.

And $2 per carto is reasonable enough.

Now, if you don't mind a PV that doesn't look like a cig, you can always go the Ego/Kgo route or maybe even something bigger! That's a whole different can of worms.

Here are some attys and carts...
atty Ecigarette Cartridges

carts Empty Cartridges
drop down and pick the RN-4081.

Believe me, I started with a safecig and did extensive research to find what would fit them since the vendor would not tell me the threading on the battery. That is because they want you to buy their products from them only.

Exactly! They can't be honest with you or you'll buy your cartos from somewhere else. But, since the battery life is so poor anyway, why not just buy the whole set-up from somewhere else in the first place?

Sorry if I missed it but for the sake of the OP, what thread is each one? With the constant sales and coupons from the great vendors here, it would be cool for the OP to know what they are dealing with so they can buy from an ECF vendor.

And to the OP, a word of caution - you are very likely to contract RVAPS (Rapid Vaping Accesory Purchase Syndrome) on this site. Following that is TSESC (Totally Satisfied Ex-Smoker Condition). You have been warned! :)

Agreed. But was just answering the question the op posed.

The op asked about safecig and that is what my response is to. The link is to a qualified ecf vendor, I believe. Just pointing op in the direction that was asked for.

And yes, the op would be better off with a 510 or 808D model. Something that is more readily accessible, but they didn't ask for that.

But, he did. If you look at the excerpt below: We both attempted to answer the bolded question. Then I responded to the italicized section, and you responded to the underlined section,

I wasn't faulting you by suggesting something different. I was just responding to a different set of questions from the OP. I'm very sorry if you misunderstood. I think you did an excellent job of answering the part that I couldn't have answered and were very helpful. :toast:

Well, this forum is to help new people. And I agree 100% with ditching these vendors unless you love the products. 90%, like me, of the people here started with a less than stellar company and paid too much... Go over to bloogplanet.com... and get some 808d batteries--their blank cartos are the best (yes, way better than SI). If safecig is going to charge people $25/battery they need to know they can buy TWO better bats from a better company for the price. I wish someone had told me cause I was getting screwed by a crappy company at first. Ditch those companies for Bloog 808ds and products--you'll be glad you did. You don't have to throw your stuff out, just phase in some new stuff from Bloog as you go. Why pay 25$ bat for the next one?

I started with Greensmoke 2 months ago and paid $35 for one battery, but I never knew about this site or what else was out there. I just picked up a VV Ego Twisty battery for $22 last week. So yeah, if your new to E-cigs, it real easy to over pay for mundane stuff.

No, I wasn't offended in any way. My thoughts were geared towards the op. There is enough confusion when first starting out and I just wanted to make sure that I did not add more to it. We all know the learning curve can be very complicated. Heck, when I started, there really wasn't much to choose from. If it wasn't for mods and variable voltage, I doubt I would still be vaping. And the variety of juices keeps it interesting for me. Never a dull moment with so much to choose from.

Happy vaping...
:)

Thanks Motoman and Sugar_and_Spice. I called the vendor and they could not confirm anything and asked me to call the carto vendor!! It's so confusing! This really threatens the maturity of the industry where vendors want to lock you in. We as a community need to push for some standards so we don't get locked in. I have seen plenty of instances where people bought and were left holding the bag because the vendor in a mall kiosk somewhere decided to call it quits and go home! Don't you guys think so?

You can get replacement cartomizers for Safe Cig here. http://www.themagicmist.com/Safecig-Compatible-s/67.htm

I don't really know that much about this particular company, other than that they sell the Safe Cig (also Blu, V2, and other) cartomizers. Good luck! The Safe Cig isn't all that bad if you overlook the excessive price point and the fact their threading is pretty proprietary and hard to find. Those are the main reasons why, although I started with them, I moved on to KR808D-1 threaded devices and later some of the 510 and eGo stuff. I still use my old Safe Cigs sometimes....sentimentality I guess.

Thanks to all the folks who answered my questions. It's a belated thanks because I did not get any notifications of your responses whatsoever!!! Ticked me off because I made some more purchases (Totally contracted RVAP, I hate that I did not read Baptyzmbyf1re warning!!)....
The advice is fantastic guys. Thank you so much. Here is what I did: I am trying a couple of new suppliers, the first is My VPA Store, where I got some KR808D1 and a bunch of adapters (a shotgun approach to force compatibility), and the other is buying an EGO battery 650mAH which I am hoping to do the trick and a PCC so I can charge the rest on the go. I will keep you guys updated. I will keep posting just so newbies like myself can have a point of reference. I definitely would not want them to go through the same thing. I actually quit smoking completely just last month thanks to the eCig of which otherwise I would have never been able to do. After 30 years of 1-2 packs a day I am personally shocked... I really want to thank everyone who posted again and say that no information is bad info. Sharing your knowledge and time is highly, very highly, appreciated.
Cheers,
Bash123

Although I didn't participate in this discussion nice to see all the suggestions and the fact you upgraded to the more popular 510 PV. And yes you did the right thing by posting your solution for others to take heed of.

The other thing worth mentioning is that Premium does have great customer service. For example, I bought a PCC (On the Go Battery Case Charger) and it broke down. All I had to do was to email them, mention the order number, and sure enough, they sent a replacement with a postage-paid return envelope to send the faulty one back. I think this is something one should expect from the vendor. If there are enough folks demanding this type of service, we should get it.
I had the same thing happen with the Safe Cig. The process worked but in reverse :). I had to fill out a form online, print, mail it with the faulty battery, pay for the shipping and then receive my replacement. So you guys can see the difference!!
