Let me see if I can take this cake...

Started with Marlboro Reds in high school. Marb Mediums for a while, then Reds again.
Marlboro 100's for a long time, when they were in the Gold pack (before they restructured their cigarette lines and put the red on the 100's pack).

Jeez, it's hard to remember that far back... Reds at the next place... and then... Newports. My foster brother smoked those. I ended up getting a taste for Camel Reds for a while. Out of foster care and into the real world I smoked Marb Reds. Then down to Florida. Smoked Doral full flavors, then Basic full flavors. Up to Kentucky, started smoking Capri Menthol Luxury Lengths (120's). Tasty cigarettes, made me feel exotic with their slender length.

Back up to Appleton... smoking just about anything I could get my hands on. Mostly cheap cigarettes like Maverick, Legitt (later Legitt Select), and even Marker.

It wasn't until Job Corps that I got fully into menthols. Newports were the most common and I smoked them more often than not. I didn't exactly like them, but you could sell them for $0.25 each in Job Corps. A pack'd make you back more than what you'd bought them for. Used to go buy two, three packs and sell'em one at a time. My real love was Marlboro, though.

Marlboro Menthol kept me in, and when I got out of Job Corps I was smoking those. Had a short stint with different RYO tobaccos, including Bugler, Drum, Kite and Top. Top was the easiest to come by in a menthol flavor.

Got a job at a filling station, and for the duration I smoked Salem (later Salem Black Label, when they changed their lines). Then Blend 27 when it came out. When 72's came out I ended up stuck in the Marlboro Menthol Mild 72's. I don't particularly like the Mentholyptus flavor... I like mint. And when Marlboro released Smooths, I was hooked. It was like smoking Winterfresh Gum, and I was very pleased.

I tried Camel Crush, the pink and mint-green Camel flavors, and they didn't strike me right.

Cigarette brands I've purchased in the past:
  • American Spirit Full Flavor, Light and Menthol (neat filters have like a powder in them!)
  • Basic and Basic Menthol
  • Camel 99's, 99's Lights, Crush, Kings, Menthol, Menthol Lights, Red, Red Light, Special Lights, #9, #9 Menthol, Non-Filter, Signature (Frost, Infused, Mellow, and Robust), Turkish Gold, Turkish Jade -and- Turkish Royal, Wides, Wides Menthol. And most of the limited edition ones that came in the tins. Those were tasty.
  • Capri Menthol (100's, 120's), Lights (100's, 120's)
  • Djarum Black, Splash, and International (used to come ten in a tin, hand-rolled, conical, sugared paper, delicious, and if I knew they were going to be discontinued, I'd have bought as many as I could get my paws on)
  • Doral Full Flavor (kings and 100's), Menthol (kings and 100's)
  • Dreams California, Strawberry and Vanilla
  • Dunhill Red and Menthol
  • Dutch Treat Menthol Little Cigars
  • Ecstasy (when I was trying to quit... these things taste horrible)
  • G.P.C. Full Flavor (kings and 100's), Menthol (kings and 100's)
  • Grand Prix Full Flavor and Menthol (I don't want to remember these, so I can't tell you if I smoked different lengths)
  • Kool Full Flavor Menthol, Milds, XL Full Flavor
  • Liggett Select Full Flavor and Menthol (another I don't want to remember)
  • Lucky Strikes
  • Marker (I don't want to remember flavors or lengths)
  • Marlboro (holy wow, just about all of them) Full Flavor (72's, kings and 100's), Lights (72's, kings and 100's), Menthol (72's, kings and 100's), Menthol Lights (kings and 100's), Blend 27 (kings and 100's), Ultra Lights (kings and 100's), Ultra Light Menthol (kings and 100's), Milds (72's, kings and 100's), Smooths (kings and 100's). And Blend 54 (kings only)
  • Misty Menthol 120's (didn't stack up to Capris)
  • Nat Sherman Hint of Mint
  • Newport Full Flavor (kings and 100's), Mediums (kings and 100's), Lights (kings and 100's), Stripe
  • Old Gold Filter Kings
  • Pall Mall Full Flavor (kings and 100's), Menthol Light 100's
  • Parliament Full Flavor, Lights, Lights 100's
  • Quest and Quest Menthol
  • Salem (pre-change, and post-change Green Label and Black Label) Kings and 100's
  • Swisher Sweet Little Cigars Cherry and Menthol (ended up getting chronic bronchitis smoking these -- four times)
  • Winston Kings and Winston Select

That's not to mention the number of other brands that don't appear in the list on these sites I'm looking at. I've smoked several brands of exotic cigarettes (of which Dunhill and Djarum are a couple). Dreams comes in three varieties I know of and I only named two. Ecstasy was tobacco and nicotine free.

I have, in the past, considered myself to be a connoisseur of cigarettes. I've smoked too many brands for all the right reasons.

Now I've moved on. I'm still smoking Marlboro Smooths right now, but I'm trying to get into vaping. It's just too bad I started out with a poor choice (the Blu L88b).

If anyone wants me to try out a commercial e-Liquid or smoke juice as a review, feel free to ask. I'll be around.

I turned 20 back in December. I started with Marlboro Reds. Smoked those for about 2 years. Switched to Sweet Dreams French Blend... mmm those were the tastiest cigs ever, smoked those for 2 years. Now I've switched to vaping, and I'm currently vaping Harley 56, very nice tobacco flavor. I'm still looking for that vanilla tip tobacco flavor that is similar to the Dreams I used to love so much. Maybe someone can help me?

Wow! What a great list--I didn't realize until you listed so many different brands that I've tried almost all of these and even a few you didn't list! That was one of the things that was always so difficult about quitting: It seemed that every time I would quit, somebody would release a new kind of cigarette that I'd want to try! My favorite for a while was a "Java" cigarette that tasted like a cigarette tastes when taken with a good cup of coffee...Right around the same time there was a "honeybee" cig (I called it that because the packaging was all Black & Yellow...Stryper-style!...but I don't remember the actual name)--I didn't like it quite as well as the coffee ones, but it paired nicely with a cup of convenience store French Vanilla Cappuccino.

Thanks again for sharing, Matthew. It brings back some good memories of smoking that are now being replaced by even better experiences with vaping! You need to get you a better setup than the Blu... I *highly* recommend getting a eGo-T USB Passthru battery and pairing it with some Smoketech Dualcoil Cartomizers. The "passthru" function means you can vape while its charging through the mini-USB port on the bottom so you don't really even need a separate charger. The VaporCast store currently has them for $22.50 and a box of 5 dualcoil cartomizers for $10...toss in some e-liquid and driptips and you're vaping like a pro for less than the cost of a carton of Marlboro Smooths.
