I want a mod but I can't afford one and while I'd be fine with a clone I'd still need to invest in the mod, the battery, the charger and the subtank which just isn't viable right now.

I was wondering what a 1600 mah Vision Spinner II could handle. I know it can't sub ohm, I'm not stupid. But could it do a 1.2 tank on the highest voltage setting? I have a lot of 80/20 juices I was just getting too many burnt hits on in my nautilus and I don't want them to go to waste.

I'll ask; What do you mean by mod? A mechanical? A VV/VW device?

You can get cheap mechs and VV, but do NOT skimp on batteries or chargers.

Sorta like a cheap car, don't skimp on tires or brakes.

Ever!

Was gonna get a copper mech, I suppose.

I just tried a 1.8 ohm drip atty on my Vision and of course it's fine. It has a lot of untapped potential though I can tell.

I wouldn't call it crazy until your build is pulling more amps than your battery's continuous amp rating. OPs desire for .5 to .8 is not even close.

I wouldnt either but im just saying in the old days a low resistance was considered1.5 ohms lol and people were thinking that was extreme. So its just amusing sometimes to see "oh .8 .5 nothing crazy"

Im an old timer... Get off my lawn! while i mod this carto with blue foam and teabags!!!!!!

More or less, yeah.

I wouldn't want to get too crazy with the low ohms just something not too expensive that could handle between .8 and .5

If the issue is money, the cheapest way to vape is with a mech and an rda.
For new people I recommend 30 guage 1.5 to 2 ohms;

If you want 0.8 to 0.5 it sounds like you might already have some experience using 28 gauge in which case 28 gauge at 1 ohm.

The steel chiyou or king mod (they are compatible, I have them, and they thread the same as my vamo and zmax [and ph22]) are good, and can take an 18650 and an optional kick.
But when it came to outfitting a friend of mine with a setup, I did steer away from the bottom switched mechs for safety reason, and lent him my poldiac with a kick and a 30mm magma with a 1.2 ohm 28 gauge coil

Otherwise, this vamo10 vv/vw with a kayfun4 for $57 sounds like a good deal to me

but if you already have a nautilus, the istick is a great option

I'd just get a sigelei mini 30w and 18650 battery to power that nautilus.

After that, start saving for your big money purchase down the road. Lots of new tech on the horizon.

If I wanted to I could have a mod by the end of the month but I'm going to Germany to see my girlfriend and need my money for that in April. After that, my whole paycheck can go to my vaping habit.

The cost of upgrading your vape gear is nothing compared to the amount of additional juice you'll be burning through when you upgrade from an eGo battery. Expect to triple or quadruple what you pay now in juice. If that's not a viable option you should probably stick with the eGo and learn to rebuild your nautilius heads using microcoils and some quality japanese cotton. That should give you a substantial upgrade in vapor (and with some quality cotton no more burnt hits). You can find how-to's all over youtube.

for $50... $20 for copper mech mod clone, $9 for RDA, $7 for good 18650 battery, and $13 for good charger. wait.. you need $7 for wire, and $4 for generic organic cotton. if you go to fasttech route, copper mech mod and atty are cheap with free shipping, but wait is long. samsung 25R battery runs around $7 from reliable source with good charger like nitecore for $13 or less. right around $50, if you already have wire and cotton.
