I just came back to this forum after a long time, and I have been reading about the new FDA passing.

My problem is even though I have been vaping for over a year, I have took it for granted.

I have been using pre built coils and do not know how to mix my own juice or how to even flavor it properly.

I refuse to go back to smoking, but what can I do? How much supplies is enough? How many vaporizers, mods, coils, E juice, etc.. I'm only 22, it's not like I can stockpile enough supplies to last for 60 years.

Will we be able to order E juice and mods from out of country after the regulation?+

Maybe some open tank mods will survive?? Or some E juice suppliers will survive? There is a chance right? My fear is they will never approve anything flavored, and that is how I quit smoking.

I started smoking very young, and vaping saved me from that, and they want me to go back to smoking? No

Calm down. I know it's all rather upsetting. There are a number of threads going on now in the forums that can answer a lot of your questions. I know it seems overwhelming, but it really is not that hard to learn what you can do to self-sustain. Here are a couple links that may help.

On stockpiling after FDA deeming regulations
Deeming Regulations have been released!!!!
Any questions in those threads, just ask away. Lots of DIY information available too. Hang in there, we're all in the same boat and trying to help one another. :)

Somewhere out there
Basically you need several replaceable battery mods, rebuildable dripper and or tanks RDA/RTA and Nic for you to DIY. Then PG/VG and flavors. There are some great flavors already to mix in blends that are great, just add your flavor to your nic level mix and shake and vape. It know it is upsetting, we are all upset and stocking up. Provari at Provape has some great sales on regulated mini's and blems. Start shopping and looking for sales, many things are pretty cheap right now. Look for the sales!

Thank you guys, and I will sign with the CASAA. I appreciate the help.

From reading it sounds like I will still be able to buy certain products already created for up to two years. By then I should be able to DiY and build my own coils.

I am grateful even if late that I am on board before it was too late. The part that really makes me angry is that they are making vaping companies have to prove a health benefit, while no such thing for tobacco companies?

Nicotine in patches or gum is considered harmless, why not the same for vaping?

I know why, and I am sick and tired of this corrupt authoritarian and greedy system. FDA and their buddies big pharma and big tobacco will not stop me from vaping, and if they want to drive us to the black market ( because that always makes things " safer " for the children, right? Even if it is far more dangerous because people won't know exactly what they are buying if they can't do it themselves ) Then I will. It is almost like they DO not learn.

Nobody can tell you what you should do but you can consider what other people are doing and decide what fits your situation. I've decided to move towards 10 years of vaping off the grid. For me that means
3 liters of 100 mg nic
5 vtc minis
5 picos
10 SV clone rda's
misc supplies, drip tips, wire, slip rings, o-rings, etc.

The total cost of all that is about $500. I used to spend that to smoke for 2 months. Once those things are in hand I'll continue to buy things that are available if I want them. I'm likely to add a redundant supply of nic from a different supplier.

A 1 liter bottle of 100mg nic, that you can buy today for $50, has the same amount of nicotine as the smoke from 5,000 packs of cigarettes. Here in Michigan those cigs would cost more than $30,000. In Chicago or New York City they would cost twice that. At least put some nic in the freezer. Duh?

Not many years ago long distance phone calls inside the US, after business hours, were 10 cents a minute. Today you can talk to anybody anywhere in the civilized world for free. I used to spend $3,000 a year smoking a carton a week. My cost of ingrediants for a year supply of eliquid is $30. Another disruptive technology is crushing another business. The difference this time is governments take most of the money from tobacco and they have the power and the motive to interfere. Avoiding the cost of smoking is as beneficial as avoiding the health effects.

The Committee Chair for Homeland Security is already looking into the FDA Deeming Regulations. Why does this matter ? Because part of the Homeland Security authority extends to Government Oversight. The HS Chairman is requiring the FDA to release all documentation that led to the Deeming regulations concerning Vaping. Trust me, this is far from over.

Majority Media | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee

If you are still concerned about the FDA's actions, there are many who have begun buying Mechanical Mods (Reos, GP Paps, Golden Greek, Super T, etc.) as "Armageddon Equipment". I personal am already using Mechs, and have gotten more interested in DIY, to the point where I am extracting my own tobaccos. There is a forum with a plethora of information of DIY ;

DIY E-Liquid

Do not panic, there will be an eventual solution is this matter. If you want to purchase a Mech Mod, and begin playing around with DIY e-liquids, I would suggest you read, read, and read some more.

I would definately purchase some 100 mg. nicotine now before 8/8/16. I cant believe they, the government has allowed this for as long as it has been. So stock up now and learn how to diy as you go along. But for sure nic will be prohibited in 100 mg. Nude nic is good as well as Vapor Tek. Just get some.

My computer warned me about this site as being unsafe, too.

Chrome, my antivirus and malware scan gave me a warning saying Dangerous and would not let me proceed without overriding the warning, my antivirus said - has confirmed this site can transmit malicious malware or has been involved in online scams or fraud.
I think the link should be broken as others have said the same thing when it was posted elsewhere.

Link works for me, but it is dated 2014. Here's the article:

Regardless of what you may read when perusing various e Cig and media websites, It’s important not to get too alarmed by all the press surrounding legalities and potential bans.

Folks, e cigs are never going away, period. We may have a few hoops to jump through in order to obtain products, but thanks to e commerce, our daily dose of flavoured vapour, will always be a click or two away. However, regulatory policy here in Australia may make it increasingly difficult and many vapers are justifiably concerned.

We may see retailers being forced to limit the viewing and selling of all e Cig related goods to minors. I can accept that and I'd be surprised if any vaper couldn't.

China is the main supplier for e cig hardware, many e liquids and much of the worlds nicotine supply, although India is now playing a role too. You think the Chinese will stop production in fear of bans? It isn't going to happen.

Many in the media suffer or are influenced from political skewing and ideology is often in the air too.
And let us not forget that we now (unfortunately) live in a PC world. No, I'm not speaking of computers.
Political correctness and the progressive movement have influenced both government and society in general; we see the ramifications of this, don't we?

Another factor that needs pointing out is that the overwhelming members of the press have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.; at least regarding Electronic Cigarettes and vaping. I can't tell you how many articles I've read that say "Electronic Cigarettes are potentially just as harmful as tobacco based cigarettes"

This is one of my favourites - "Electronic Cigarettes are addicting"
Well, so is Milk, if one chooses to put nicotine (laced with Big Tobacco's additives) in it. Perhaps we should ban milk cartons then?

Tobacco companies (The major players at least) have long turned their attention to e Cigs and I seriously doubt that multi billion dollar corporations would ever place a bet on anything other than a sure thing.

It's going to take some time, years perhaps, eventually however, sanity will prevail.
Optimism keeps me going.

From the Table,
Charles

We can hope that lawsuits, Congress, or public outrage will do something about these ridiculous deeming regs, but in the meantime, it's time to stock up. Find what works for you and get multiples. Learn to build coils and DIY as you feel comfortable; there is a lot of great advice here on the Forum. And don't panic; fight back!
