I'd say use the 2.7 so you have a wider range( up to 6V) but then again with the LT, the higher the voltage the faster your battery discharges and you lose range because on the LT , the lower the charge, the lower your range. So you are probably better off with the 2 ohm and you can vape between 3.0 and 5.5 I believe

I'd personally say (never used a lava tube, but seem some awesome vid reviews) that you're always safe with 2ohm and 3 ohm boges. That would be the SR and the LR. They're inexpensive (esp at crystalclearvaping, if you buy 15 at a time.. like $20), last ages, and really perform well.

I think this will really really help you out. You might want to watch it a few x. Its Phil Busardo's very in depth review of the Lava tube (called something else, but its just rebranded... definitely the lt). He goes into specifics on Reg and mini size, and fires 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 ohm cartos/attys at all the different voltages, and shows you exactly how high the lt will go, voltage wise, on each before it cuts you off at the 2.5 amp limit. VERY useful. I'm geing a Vision Tox vv... super similar to the LT in how it works with the vv, so I was very interested. Plus, Phil's got some fab reviews on popular cartos, like boge, resurrector, etc. If you're newish to cartos, it'll really save you a ton of experimentation. Plus, that way, you know before you spend money on cartos if they're high resistance enough to get you to your sweet spot in voltage, before the LT holds you back at the 2.5 amps....

Here's the cartos section...

And all his reviews, handy price charts for juice etc are all avail at TasteYourJuice.com. I love Phil's reviews as he goes in depth on all the tech specs, and tests things I'd never even consider. He tends to like the same things I do, so works out well. GrimmGreen and Scott also do fantastic ones.

man i just ordered my mini lavatube yesterday. i cant wait to try it out on my boge 3.0 cartos and lil mama tank. from the research ive done, people seem to recommend boge standard resistance cartos for the lavatube so you get the full range of voltage from the device. dual coils and Low resistance will be limited by the lavatube

Whats actually limited on lavatube is the resistance. I have 2.5ohm dual coil cartos and it does go up to 5V at least. I've read something about it goes up to 6V but I never tried because after 5V my juices just taste really mellow and burned, its actually too high voltage for me juices.

The video mentioned previously by orachel is very good and show all the details too Take a look on the URL orachel sent (copied bellow) and you will find the charts. That was an awesome job from pbusardo.

VV is not about how high you can go it is about dialling in the right voltage for what ever you are using with it so I say neither one is better than the other . You just use different voltages is all . Once you know the sweet spot for each you dial it in and away you go . Usually I would only increase voltage from the sweet spot for a carto that is beginning to degrade to get a bit more use out of it .
