For the sake of safety, we pretend that our mods operate continuously and refer to the cell's continuous discharge rating (CDR) when making comparisons. In practice our cells operate for only a few seconds at a time on pulsed discharge and protected mods all have a 10s cutoff limit. So I see no problem at all in running your cell close to its 16A CDR, especially since you have not noticed it getting warm.

I use my drag 2 as my work horse with 30Q, so i am with the drag 7-7 at work more or less, then when i get home i take the solo and the pulse and switch between then every couple of drags, so don't think it will ever get hot, a nice squonker the pulse and with the ver 7 update goes to 90w but i never go over 50w. I see a couple of people mod it to take a 21700 buy i wont touch my mod with sand paper or any thing love it too much.
Once again thanks for all the info.
