The xtar VC4 is a good 4-bay charger.
Just make sure you get a decent USB wall adapter as well.

Review of Charger Xtar VC4
Yip, only found the vc4 a little while ago, since the vc2 is in the top 5 i take it the vc4 will be just as good, will only use 2 cells at a time tho.
But from reviews i am busy reading it says the x4 is actually a upgrade for the vc4 ... but yea seems between those 2 is my best bet.
Thanks for the help

Xtar X4
2Ax2/ 1Ax4/ 0.5Ax4
I think this is a great option.
Yip i more or less sold on the X4 for now, will still surf around to see if i cant find a proper 2 bay, but if it comes to a mid spec 2 bay or higher end 4 bay i will just take the 4 bay, and like you said if 1 spring brakes i can still use the other slots so seems win win all the way. Once again thanks for your time and help :)

Hi guys and girls.

Need some help from you guys, i am looking for a new charger but my options is heavy limited because not all chargers is available in S.A, i understand the best are Efest Lush Q2, Efest Luc V2, Xtar Vc2 Plus or Nitecore SC but not one of them is available in SA.

So my options are :
Nitecore I2 v2
Nitecore Q2
Golisi i2
Xtar MC2
Folomov A2
Golisi O2
Golisi S2
Those are about my options.

I am leaning to the Nitecore I2 v2 seems they are decent from what i read up, the only thing that bothers me a bit is the .5A with 2 cells not the full 1A ...
I don't care a lot about the bells and whistle's but want a proper charger.

Thanks

Eventually, you will want to charge more than two cells at once.

Whatever you end up buying, you might want to include 2x700 cells as a feature you want. The vape market is trending toward those cells for high MAH. They are used in electric cars, so high levels of production will lower costs over time.

Zanflare C4 is a charger you should at least look at. It ticks most of the boxes and also charges 21700 cells. It shows you internal resistance, which is an indicator of cell condition. Internal resistance rises slowly with usage and shortens the vape time. It's a good indicator for cell replacement when it rises to the 50 milliohm level and above.

Hi Ruben.
I own an Xtar VC4S. If you can get your hands on one of those with a qick charge V3 power adaptor it'll do 2 x cells at 2A and 4 cells at 1 amp.
I'm charging a pair of Samsung 20S cells in just over 1 hour, plenty fast enough!
Hi
Thanks for the tip but am more or less sold on the x4, from what i read it is the upgrade of the vc4, well that is what i have read. But thanks for your input :)

You haven't stated whether you're using a dual-cell mod or a single. If dual, avoid the chargers that won't charge at full speed with more than a single cell. This may necessitate buying a 4-bay charger.

Reference:
2 cells at 0.5A: four hours
2 cells at 1.0A: two hours
2 cells at 2.0A: one hour
2 cells at 3.0A: 45 minutes

Although a slower charge is better for longevity you'll probably find the convenience outweighs the savings, especially since it's unwise to leave the charging cells unattended. For me, 2.0A is the sweet spot.

Be sure your charger has a traditional A/C wall adapter. You don't want anything that uses USB or USB dongles as power connectors.

Also bear in mind that while you probably use 18650s (6.5cm long) now, you may some day upgrade to 20/21700s (7cm long), and may want to ensure that your charger can accommodate them.

Companies known for manufacturing quality chargers are: MiBoxer, Nitecore, and Xtar. It's important to buy quality, since cheap chargers can overcharge your cells and be dangerous.

I use the Nitecore SC4.

OK, cool, but it's the 4S a newer model, just in case you didn't know...
Ok didn't know that but the S i cant find in SA :( thats why my options is really limited to what i have mentioned. The only Xtar VC here is the plain VC4. And then the Xtar X4.

DL Mod Battery External Charger
^^ This side gives me more or less the best options for chargers, the rest only have the i2 and i4.

The Xtar X4 looks excellent. 2x2A output, A/C input, fits the largest cells, informative digital display, and multi-stage charging. I think you'll be pleased with it.

@GOMuniEsq
Seems you a bit clued up on the battery's or well know more than me, i have a noob ish question about amp if you can help.
Just going to use an example, in my pulse 80w ( regulated ) with profile rda, i have the sanyo ncr 20700 b - 4000mah 15A, what changes will there be going to something like the golisi S32 20A ( other than less battery time ), i love the 4k mah on the sanyo but at 50w i think mooch doesn't recommend it, he said 30w max or something, just in general what will more amp do ? I did google but really couldn't find a specific answer.
Or if any one can help don't want to create another thread.

Sure. Your question is: What difference can I expect between a high-capacity low-amp cell and a lower-capacity high-amp cell?

You state that your setting is 50W on a single Sanyo 20700B. At full charge (4.2V) your mod pulls ~13A and at low charge (3.6V) it pulls ~15A. Mooch rated your cell at 16A so you're actually fine using it as is.

If you do decide to switch to the high-amp cell you'll notice little difference at 50W other than slightly shorter life and perhaps that the mod is a bit cooler to the touch under heavy use. The main reason to switch would be if you plan to run higher than 50W, or simply for the peace of mind of having more headroom.

Thanks, you answered this 100% so that i can understand thanks a lot :)
The mod doesn't run hot at all so seems i will stick with the 4000 mah sanyo then.
And i run all my mods on 50w it just seems where i like it, like my vape more on the cooler side.
